Tod

m.k,
The log file indicates that you are not paired. What year is your vehicle? You will need to try a different vehicle if you can.I am sending the steps to try.
m.k,
Basics:
The BT1 is designed for quickly connecting to the Bluetooth device with which it was last paired. If you are changing Apple devices, you will need to un-pair (forget) the first device before you can pair with the new device.
When the BT1 is plugged into the OBDII port, you will see the red LED. This indicates that there is power on the OBDII port. (for NO red LED refer to C) below)
The engine must be running (the BT radio powers on when the engine is running):
When you see the blue LED, it will blink slowly, blink fast or be on steady.
Slow: BT1 is pair-able and searching.
Fast: BT1 is attempting to connect to the last known device.
Steady: BT1 has connected and is ready to use.
If issues continue, send us the make/model/year of your vehicle and try a different vehicle if you can.
I'm sorry you are having connection issues. Please follow the steps below to get your BT1 up and running.
1) Plug-in the BT1 to the OBD-II connector in your vehicle. The connector is located on the driver’s-side of the vehicle and is usually under the dash. The connector may also be behind a small trim door or plate.
2) Start your vehicle and wait for the BT1 to beep. This indicates that the BT1 is ready to go.
3) The BT1 pairs with your phone just like a Bluetooth headset. Open “Settings” on your device, then “General” and “Bluetooth.” If Bluetooth is OFF, turn it ON. Your device will now search for the BT1.
4) When you see “GoPoint BT1” on the screen, tap it to pair with it.
5) Wait until the Devices list shows that the GoPoint BT1 is connected.
6) Follow the on-screen directions to get the App from the iTunes App Store if you don’t already have it.
7) If you already have an App installed, you will need to wait for the BT1 to beep and connect to your device before you begin using the software. Look for the Bluetooth icon to be lit at the top of your screen.
If your BT1 is still not working, try the following:
A) iOS RESET:
Resetting your device does not erase any information; it’s just like re-booting your home PC.
• Press-and-hold the Home button (front bottom of the screen) and the Sleep/Wake button (on top) simultaneously.
• Continue holding both buttons (IGNORE the “Slide to power off”) until the Apple logo appears on your screen.
• Let go when the Apple logo appears.
• Allow your device to restart.
Re-do steps 1-7 above.
B) Power down and restart:
Power down your iPhone/iPod/iPad and restart it. Re-do steps 1-7 above.
C) Vehicle electrical Issues:
The BT1 cable requires power from the vehicle to operate. This power comes from the 16-pin vehicle diagnostic connector that the GL1 cable plugs into. Sometimes the fuse for this circuit is blown. Check the fuses, especially the fuse for the cigarette lighter circuit, to be sure that you have power on the connector. If you have access to a multi-meter, you can check for voltage across pins. You can reference the pins here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/On-board_diagnostics#OBD-II_Diagnostic_connector.
Best regards,
Tod Hamilton
