日産の苦境鮮明　3社連合も期待できず

日産自動車の苦境が一段と鮮明になった。競合他社が新型コロナウイルスの影響から急速な立ち直りを見せているのに対し、日産は販売低迷が続いている。フランス自動車大手ルノーと三菱自動車との3社連合による業績浮揚も期待できず、本業不振では先行きはおぼつかない。

「日産はこんなもんじゃない。成長の軌道に戻す」。内田誠社長兼最高経営責任者（CEO）は12日の決算記者会見でこう決意を語った。しかし、低迷脱却への道のりは遠いのが現状だ。

　不振の主因は新車不足だ。日産と取引のある神奈川県の部品メーカー社長は「車種の選択肢が狭く、多様なニーズに対応できていない」と指摘する。北米事業では、前会長カルロス・ゴーン被告の時代に開発費を犠牲にして値引き競争に走り、拡大路線を進めた結果、ブランド力が低下した。

　トヨタ自動車やホンダは北米などでの販売回復を受け、2021年3月期の業績見通しを大幅に上方修正。トヨタは純利益予想を従来のほぼ2倍に引き上げた。日産も上方修正したが、改善幅は1割にとどまり、過去最大規模だった前期に迫る6150億円の通期赤字を見込む。今期の世界販売台数は416万台に引き上げたが、修正幅は1％に満たず、前期比15．5％減少する。

　収益改善に向け、日産は小型SUV（スポーツ用多目的車）「キックス」など6種類の新車を23年度までに国内投入していく。ただ、「多額の販売奨励金による安売り車のイメージを払拭（ふっしょく）するのに10年はかかる」（大手証券アナリスト）との指摘もあり、一朝一夕には進まない。

　3社連合をめぐっては、ルノーとの資本関係見直し問題がくすぶっている。三菱自動車も大幅赤字を計上し、相乗効果は望めない。日産は日本政策投資銀行から政府保証付き融資も受けており、経営再建の成否によっては国民負担も生じかねない。経営陣は重い責任を負っている。

クラウンのセダンタイプ終了検討　トヨタ、７０年の歴史に幕

トヨタ自動車が、主力高級車「クラウン」について、従来のセダンタイプの生産、販売の終了を検討していることが、１１日分かった。１９５５年に初代が発売され、現行は１５代目。トヨタだけでなく日本の高級セダンの代名詞だが、近年は以前ほど販売が振るわず、てこ入れが必要と判断したとみられる。セダンとして約７０年の歴史に幕を下ろす公算が大きい。

　セダンタイプは、スポーツタイプ多目的車（ＳＵＶ）やミニバンの人気拡大に伴って販売が低迷。特に若年層を中心に「セダン離れ」が進んでおり、クラウンもそのあおりを受けた格好。日本の自動車市場の変化を象徴する出来事となりそうだ。

The INFINITI Lounge officially opened today inside the Nissan Gallery at Nissan’s global headquarters in Yokohama. The area, dedicated to the luxury brand, includes two of INFINITI’s most iconic, design-forward vehicles, including the recently unveiled QX60 Monograph design study that previews an upcoming SUV to be revealed next year, and the Q Inspiration sedan concept that showcases an exciting direction for the brand. Other vehicles will be displayed in the future. The schedule of the rotating exhibit vehicles to be announced later.

The INFINITI Lounge design aesthetic was inspired by the automaker’s renowned international auto show displays designed in conjunction with Kengo Kuma architects, whose seamless blend of nature and technology has captivated audiences around the world.

The Nissan Gallery attracts approximately 1.25 million customers annually (numbers reflective of pre-COVID-19 pandemic). The space serves as a home base for disseminating Nissan’s product and corporate information through test drives, exhibitions where you can get familiar with cars and cutting-edge technologies in a relaxed environment, and various events that children and adults can enjoy.

On 14 January 2005, NISMO resurrected the R34 GT-R for one last tour of duty before the introduction of the anticipated next generation GT-R. Labeled as the R34 Z-tune, the NISMO engineers made the car the most powerful road-going GT-R ever created. Using rebuilt R34s with much technology borrowed from the GT500 Racing GT-Rs and endurance racing GT-Rs, the Z-tune has a 2.8 L twin turbo instead of the stock 2.6 L engine, racing pistons, connecting rods and camshafts, and an upgraded ECU, giving the Z-tune 500 hp (370 kW) and 540 N·m (400 lb·ft) of torque. The car became affectionately known as the “Mother of all GT-Rs” and is carries a price tag of about US$ 170,000. Nismo has stated that this car will be a limited edition, and only 20 will ever be made and sold.

LM Nismo - Abbreviated as Nissan GT-R '95 - is a RWD sport car by Nissan features in Forza Horizon 3 as part of the Duracell Car Park and as a standard in all subsequent titles.

The LM Nismo is a homologation special developed by Nissan's performance division Nismo.
A single model model based on the R33 Skyline GT-R was built in order to homologate its racing variant for the FIA's GT 1 class.

In comparison with the Skyline GT-R , the LM Nismo has a factory wide body kit and a tuned version of the RB26DETT twin-turbo engine that produces 300 horsepower and redlines close to 1000 rpm.

As dictated by the GT1 racing class , it has a rear-wheel drive in place of the GT-R's all-wheel drive system.
