Discover ProパンフにSDHCって書いてあるから、おそれおそれ１２８GB SDXCカードを買った。試したら、ぜんぜんOK. ご参考までに。

I bought a 128GB SDXC card with a little reluctance, since the Discover Pro pamphlet says "SDHC". It works fine, FYI.

I created a KeePer coating cost comparison, when I was trying to decide which to get (I got Crystal KeePer done at the ENEOS Dr. Drive). Basically it appears that all 4 options are similar in price. You can see it here:

We took delivery of our new Golf 7 Variant yesterday 23rd May, and wow, I've got a good impression of it already. It's pretty complex, though. The dealer sales rep took us through most of the features, and we were there for over two hours. The Ryokuen Yamate-dai dealer made a big deal over us during the delivery, which was kind of cool. Of course they do it to everyone, but still, it did not feel bad.

機能新ゴルフ７ヴァリアントが納車した。とても良い感じだが、少々複雑だね。ディーラー営業が２時間強掛けてご説明をし、触れてない部分も有ったろう。VW緑園山手台ディーラーみんなにするだろうが、うちらをVIP見たくしてくれて、良い気持ちで納車が出来た。

So far, the cool -

* overall drive feeling is superb, and the dynamic chassis control option is lovely. It "points" through turns with a lot more facility than did the Lafesta, and it almost feels like an FR.

* interior fit and finish is fantastic, front to rear. Doors have that German "thunk" sound when you close them. Ahhhh, love that sound.

* even though it's not a GTI or R, the engine sound is still pretty sweet.

* save for a couple of things, the discover pro system is easy to use and well integrated.

* lots of safety features and the philosophy of those is obvious once you start getting used to the car.

少しだけしか乗っていないが、気づいた良い点：

* ドライブフィールがとてもGood. DCCがおもしろい。ラフェスタより曲がる時すいすいと曲がってくれていて、FRみたい。

* インテリアの出来がとても良い。ドア音がそのドイツ風の思い音で、気持ちいい。

* GTIやRでないのに、エンジン音が結構良い。

* ２、３点のぞいてDiscover Proがよくできているのでは？

* いろいろ触れていると安全を考える作り方が見えてくる。

Things I noticed -

* gosh there are a lot of options to learn!

* it's not a mini-van. There are storage spots, but, it's more compact feeling inside compared to the Lafesta, and the storage areas are more cramped.

* navigating the car into parking lots and getting a ticket from the machine at the entrance, feels quite different from the Nissan Lafesta, like the door is a lot thicker and you're farther away. If you make a mistake and have to open the door, the whole system goes into a tizzy, and you need to put it in park and restart the engine. The sales guy did mention this, but, of course when I needed to remember that, I didn't. :-p

* it's great you can hook up your phone either wired or via bluetooth, but, new contacts do not seem to refresh. (looking into the 5000 page manual now!)

あれ？、と気づいた点：

* オプションが多い事。おいらついていけるかのぉー。

* ミニバンじゃない。収納スペースがあるけど、Lafestaみたいに大きくなくて、一般的に狭く感じるかな？

* 駐車場でチケット機器から券を取る時、気をつけないと取れない。車の幅かドア自体の幅が関係してくる。ドアを途中で開けてしまうと、おいおい、Pにしてエンジンを再び掛けないと、止まってしまう。Dealer営業がこれを注意したが、重要な時忘れて、パニック。笑。

* Bluetoothで電話を接続出来るのは良いが、どうも連絡先を電話で足しても、出てこない。５０００ページ位のマニュアルを閲覧中！

* 連絡先を検索って機能を使うと、英語入力出来ないため、検索出来ない。みたい。ならば、まさにおいおい、です。

The Golf 7 Variant we are awaiting has a "remokon key" but is not "keyless" in the usual Japanese sense of the word. Many if not all typical Japanese cars now have a button on the door handle, which if pressed, will open the lock provided the key is in close proximity. The Golf 7 GTI has this, but the standard Golf 7 does not.

What it does have is the ability to hold the unlock button on the key down, to open the windows. You can then deposit your shopping bags into the back via the window. The dealer told me that it can be set up in the Discover Pro settings menu, in terms of which window or windows open when the key is held down.

The Japanese "VW Professional Service Library v9" book that I got from the dealer also mentions it.

納車をまっているゴルフ７バリアントですが、リモコンキーがありながら、日本の普通の意味の「キーレス」ではない。日本でよくあるのは、ドアハンドルにボタンが有って、鍵が近くにあると、ボタンを押せば鍵が解除され、ハイ便利。上級Golf 7 GTIならこの意味のキーレスは有るが、普通のゴルフにはない。

ただGolf 7では、リモコンキーの「ロック解除ボタン」を押し続けることによって、窓が開くと言う機能だ。そうすると、お買い物袋を窓経由で車内に置くことが出来る。ディーラーさんから、Discover Pro Naviの設定メニューで、どの窓（一つ、全部）が開くか、選択出来ると言う。
