Here are various pictures from the SCCA Majors event in the CorkSport Mazda 3/Axela. I finished 3rd place out of 12 cars in class.

I installed a LSD which was built for CorkSport for racing. It is a torsen style helical differential. Track performance has been great!



The transmission in the Skyactiv 2.5 Mazda 3 is very easy to work on and install the new differential. The ring gear unbolts which is much better than the BJ Familia models which required drilling the rivets.

We discovered after the day testing the brakes we had a great video of the sound of our CorkSport Intake with the camera mounted on the side of the Axela.

I had a chance to test out the soon to be released CorkSport street big brake kit on the track for the BM Chassis Mazda 3/Axela at Portland International Raceway.

The kit is different from the BL chassis kit as it includes 325mm rotor with the kit as well as the brake calipers, brackets, and lines. For the track event I changed out the pads from the street pads supplied with the kit to Hawk Performance DTC-60 pads to survive the track conditions.



The brakes worked great all weekend, I have lots of confidence braking later and deeper into the brake zones with the kit. We even got some excellent pictures from the camera mounted on the car and video.

The brakes are excellent and anyone who gets them should be happy with the street performance brake kit from CorkSport.
