Hey guys onelungderryl here, over the past couple of months I've been finishing my adapter kit for the AE86, TE70, KE70, etc. which will allow you to adapt your w-series transmission into your 4a, 7a, 2t, or 3t bell housing!

Similar to the one Andrew (Assassin10000) manually made for himself on the mill years ago it requires the top left bell housing hole to be slotted and uses 6 of the 7 bell housing bolts. The kit comes with the adapter plate (6061) machined in a CNC, necessary pilot bearing spacer (made of steel to reduce the risk of the pilot bearing "falling out" because of thermal expansion), weld on carrier bearing extension (with machined groove for grease), and hardware (12.9 grade flange head and allen bolts).


(NOTE: Final pilot bearing will be steel. Also looking at making it serviceable with a threaded center hole so you can remove it without damaging the exterior)



(NOTE: I used the "mid" shifter position which doesn't require cutting the tranny tunnel. RA64, RA65, and MA61 will go straight in no cut!)




There's a slight shifter lean, comparable to a TRD shifter which would be nice for you right hand drive guys.


I heated my shifter up with a propane torch and bent it in the vice pretty effortlessly. I plan on making some short shifter kits that should eliminate this problem. I've also checked clearance with my custom ACT clutch disk (PN #6200107) and even if the clutch disk explodes and the face of the flywheel is worn it should not make contact with the pilot bearing spacer but I'd highly recommend checking your application since surface thickness may differ (flywheel, spline hub, etc).



Final price is going to be in the $450USD range plus postage but the [B]parts are not ready just yet[/B] (I had to outsource the lathe work since I don't have access to a CNC lathe).

I am also looking at offering transmission mounts to go with the kits but still working with my friend/fabricator. How many of you guys would be interested in a transmission bracket to go with the kit?

I thought I would share my brothers 2006 Ford Mustang.

His car has a vortech supercharger, pulley kit, upgraded ignition, headers, aftermarket dual exhaust, bigger bore throttle body, and is tuned to work with E85 (ethanol). He upgraded the suspension heavily with coil overs, sway bars, axle links, lateral rod, and strut tower bars. The wheels are 19x9 and 19x10 with continential p-zero 235-35r19 and 295-30r19! We also built the rear axle after he blew his up with 4.10 gear set and a truetrac LSD.

His car is very fast! I've driven it a few times and raced a BMW M6 on the highway and beat it no problem! Drifting is very scary... it looses traction easy on throttle but the wide tires make it difficult to stay sideways.

This is my girlfriend in front of my previously owned MA61 equiped with 5mge. I sold the car to my cousin but kept my wheels. I built the coil over setup, rebuilt the engine, and rebuilt the brakes. I miss it!
