I was looking through photos online and I was looking on how to preserve my dashboard with style. I came across a photo of a chinchilla dash matt. I figured because they are hard to get from Japan, I may as well make one! haha

So I went to the fabric shop and bought the dash Fabric. The first thing I did was test fit it on my dash and make a mould of news paper.

Once I made the mould, the stitching began. It took a while because I do not have the machine. hahaha,. It is hand crafted.

almost finished! I am going to customize it to the size of the dashboard. It will not be perfect but it will be a good fit. But first, Because I have excess fabric, I decided to make a shift cover because my shift cover is worn.

Yeaaaaaaaaa!!! I had time to switch up the headlights today as well as my steering wheel. Another good progress I think. I changed my headlights from Series 1 Headlight to Series 2 headlights. The previous attempt was a fail but today was a success! Couldn't be happier.

I found 1 problem. One of the indicator lights I got from Japan have 3 wires! Mine only has a couple of them.

Here, If you can see, I removed the internals of the indicator harness from japan.

Then placed it inside. It fits like a glove. This is what it looks like with the plug inside the plug. haha

Anyway now that was done, I managed to install everything. Facelift headlight!! It will take me a while to get used to the look but it's fine for now.

Finally, Time to work on my engine.. I will reprofile my cams to rev higher than 7.500rpm.

Had an early start today. My friend has a toyota chaser that has been in the storage for the past 1 year. This was the first time we took it out. First of all I needed to replace the powersteering pump. JZ engines are easy because they only have 1 Tensioner for all the drive belts.

Believe it or not. This chaser is powered by 2jz-gte. The 2jz-gte in this repower package came from the mighty Toyota Aristo. With the powerful engine and the weight of a car, is a descent daily with track potential combination.

Replacing the power steering pump was an easy job. only 2 bolts connected to the bracket and 2 flare nuts.

This car has not been started for 1 year. When I came to work on the car, I saw it like this.

Hmmm... do you guys want to see something cool? I don't know if you guys have a lot of this style in Japan to the point that this style is too common. But it is a rare sight to see a civic like this all done up here in New Zealand. It's in a group in New Zealand called 'Kanjo Kings'.

Anyway, as the day went on, my friend Nigel took out his body kit that has been sitting in the shed for 1 year. And we've decided to fit and install. The body kit is called "Rush". From what I can see, It's not an ordinary drift body kit but a body kit of elegance and style. It also came from Japan and it fitted perfectly like any high quality Japanese body kit should.

And it fits! It fits all factory bolt holes too. No modification was needed.

As far as I know, this is the last package I will receive for this year. My face-lift indicators arrived also with my center caps for my panasport! Unfortunately, my wheels (panasport and SSR formula mesh) will not arrive till January so this is my last package from Japan for this year. At least I will have a package in January? haha

Today, I cleaned my set of Stern Wheels! It looks good but I think I will get my set of wheels widened from 8j to 9.5j!
Anyway, I am still patiently waiting for my new shorter springs and shocks to lower another 40mm!! I think 8 more days? then I will lower it. I also increased the height of my car for Inspection. haha

Too add to my collection, and because I got an opportunity to meet Daigo Saito here in New Zealand, I got my JZX100 taillight signed by the drift legend during the Redbull-Drift-Shifter event! ♪!
