Last month I was able to persuade my dad to make the 7 hour drive from his home in New York to visit me and attend the Washington Auto Show. It was a nice father/ son experience. We secured VIP access on media day and were able to sit in all the cars, eat free food and drink free beer! Good times!

Yes, that's my dad sitting in the $200k 2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Coupe.
It was also nice to be able to show my dad the new Mercedes-Benz GLK350 as my wife had just put in an order for one at the local Mercedes-Benz dealer. They are in high-demand since the facelift for 2013 and it was impossible to find an example with the right color/options so we had to special order it. It is scheduled to be built on March 18 at the
Bremen, Germany assembly plant. Hopefully it will arrive sometime in April. We can't wait!
