Recently my aw11 stopped running. While driving one day, I lost all power and had to hire a tow truck to get it home.
After much troubleshooting, I determined that the spark plugs were not producing a spark. I changed the distributor cap, rotor, wires, plugs, and even ignitor and nothing worked.
A friend suggested that I replace the coil, which I had not done because it was only a few years old. I had measured the old coil using the procedure that Toyota says to use for the stock coil. The measurements were correct, but when I replaced the coil anyhow, it started right up!
I'm very excited to have my aw11 running again and am able to enjoy driving it.
