Well finally after waiting 3 months, one of the most important items arrived today, the wheels!. As some of you know choosing a wheel for this car is quite hard due to the big calipers and unusual bolt pattern. That combined with our desire to have a lightweight yet unique wheel made the choice extremely hard.

Without further adieu we present you the AME FS-01 Concept in Hyper Silver. This wheel was introduced in Japan back in April and this is the 1st RL set in the US. The design is aggressive and yet clean. It goes nicely with our sporty vip look. In 19" they only weigh 22 lb (10 kg) (2.27 kg lighter than the original 17"). These wheels are produced by Enkei Japan and use MAT Technology to achieve this weight and extreme strength. Hope you like them (center cap shown not mounted)

Coilovers are finally in. On the drive back to my office the car was riding beautifully. Feels a bit stiffer than stock which I like and less body roll. I'll be adjusting the dampening more to my preference after I get the wheels on as those will affect the ride also. Just got 4 new tpms sensors today . Still have to order tires, 255's or 265's, not sure yet.

Overall I'm very happy with the performance and looks of the car now with the new suspension... no more 4x4 look!. If I had to estimate, I'd say the ride is about 15% stiffer than stock. The turn in response has been greatly improved. Dampening right now I have set to 10 (these are 16 way adjustable). 0 being the stiffest and 16 being the softest.

Ok here is a pic of the rear, the front picture I took came out too blurry. I still need to make some adjustments to the height as right now I have about a 2 finger gap all around. However I'm going to let it settle a bit and then drop it more next week.

So last friday I finally got to meet one of my good Minkara friends - Sona who was in NYC on business. We had a small acura meet with a few of my friends at Ichiban's in New Jersey. The chef - Lucky was really funny and everyone had a great time!. I had the habachi chicken :).

So who else from Minkara wants to come to New York City ??

Took awhile to do, but they look really nice at night. I wired it so that it only turns on when the front dome light is on. So when you approach the car from far and hit the unlock button they will light on. Each puddle light has 4 leds. The color is super white, but the camera for some reason shows some blue tint.

Hey guys we finally installed the mugen bodykit (underspoilers) on the RL. This is the first mugen kit outside of Japan. The kits quality is top notch as is the fit and finish.

Some changes we did - 1. paint the chrome front grills flat black (original was chrome). 2. rear diffuser was changed from body color to phantom grey

Here is a teaser picture for now, I'll post more later. This location is actually pretty interesting because it has been featured many times in the media. It's the brooklyn bridge observation deck. Audi USA recently used it to promote the new A5 and it was a spot used in Gran Turismo 4 in the photomode. We had some connections to pull it off, but normally it's very challenging and slightly dangerous if your caught as the fine is about $6000 USD !!.
