実は、、、昨年末からRHTが開かなくなってたんです。。。原因は写真の突起物に引っかかって開かないといううことはわかってたんですが、ディーラーに見てもらいました。とりあえず、突起物を後ろ側にずらし、グリスを塗ったら何事もなくRHTが開くようになったので、しばらくこれで様子見です。

今回は奥琵琶湖までいってまいりました。

　高速の近畿道ー名神ー北陸道のルートでいったけども、高速の出口で降り損ねて敦賀までいってしまった。。。この辺りまで来るとさすがに日本海側で、道路脇には雪が積まれてたけど、路面には雪がなかったのでノーマルタイヤでもあっさり走行できて助かった。結局行き過ぎたので、仕方なくちょこっとだけ引き返して琵琶湖の北部ヘ。。。
　琵琶湖を横目に湖岸沿いに南下して、道の駅「湖北みずどりステーション」に到着。三脚もってうろうろしてる方々が結構いてたので風景の撮影してるのかと思いきや、ここは野鳥で有名で、三脚に着けた望遠鏡覗いてるバードウォッチャーの方々でした。ここで風景写真を少々。「湖北野鳥・風景写真コンテスト」なるものがあるらしく、応募しようかなと思案中。。。


This Sunday I tried to go to the North area of Lake Biwa (琵琶湖) in Shiga. Lake Biwa is the third oldest lake all over the world. By the way, the oldest lake is Lake Bikal (バイカル湖) in Russia, and the second is Lake Tanganyika (タンガニーカ湖) in Central Africa.
I used the highway to go there, so I missed the exit and went to Tsuruga (敦賀) in Fukui. As Tsuruga lays on the side of the Sea of Japan, that is snow country, there was a lot of snow on the side of the road. But I could reach Lake Biwa by car with normal tires. I drove on Kogan Road (湖岸道路) toward the south along the lake. Then I arrived at a station on the road, Kohoku Water Bird Station, (道の駅「湖北みずどりステーション」). As several people had a tripod, I thought them photographers. But, actually, they were bird watchers and had a telescope on a tripod, not a camera. At the station I knew that there was a photo contest. I thought that I want to enter the contest. If I can take time I will visit there again to take photos for the contest. The island which is in center of the following right picture is called Chikubu Island (竹生島). Although I wanted to visit the island I could not. This island has Chikubu Jima Shrine (竹生島神社), Ho-Gon Temple (宝厳寺) and several souvenir shops. But the island is a desert island. If I have an opportunity I want to visit there too.
