世界遺産「紀伊山地の霊場と参詣道」は広い。
これまで高野山と吉野は何度もいったが、まだ行ってない所が今回の熊野である。
うちからは一番遠い所。
地図で見るとそうでもないように思えるのだが微妙に遠いのである。
高速道路がないのもその理由の一つなのである。

とりあえず、いつものように西名阪の香芝SAでパンを購入。
後は下道で、168号線をひたすら南下。
すると、道の駅「吉野路大塔」にたどり着く。
ここは星の里ということでプラネタリウムがあったり、天体観測のできる宿泊施設もあるみたい。
さらに168を南下。
川に沿って走るのだが道幅が細くて結構スリリング。
で、次にたどり着いたのが道の駅「十津川郷」。
この辺は温泉地らしく、道の駅にも足湯があったのでまったりと浸かった。
そしてまた山の中を南下。
道路のすぐ横が滝になってるなんてすごい。
こんな細くてくねくねした道を走りようやく道の駅「奥熊野古道ほんぐう」に着く。
ここで、おそばをいただく。
また、ちょっとだけ走って、目的地の熊野本宮にようやく到着。
自宅から約４時間。
帰りは、311号線で紀伊田辺まででて、後は阪和道でバキューンと帰りました。

この世界遺産にはまだまだ未踏のルートがたくさん。
全走破したいな。


As I wrote before, the UNESCO World Heritage, Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range (紀伊山地の霊場と参詣道), has very wide area. The world heritage consists of three big areas, Yoshino (吉野), Kumano (熊野), Koya-san (高野山). I had visited Yoshino and Koya-san already, so I tried to visit the remained area, Kumano in Wakayama. Kumano is the farest area from my town. I usually drove on the West-MeiHan (西名阪) High Way. In Kashiba (香芝) SA I bought my favorite breads there. And I drove on Route 168 towards the south, then I found the station on the road “Yoshino-ji Ootoh”, 道の駅「吉野路大塔」. Here seems to be the village of stars. There are astronomical telescopes and planetarium. Moreover I drove on the narrow and terrible route in mountains, and I arrived the next station “Totsukawa Go”, 道の駅「十津川郷」. Here is a hot springs town, I could enjoy a footbath (足湯). I drove again, there is a place on the route such that left side of the road is a river and the other side is a fall. After pass the station, 道の駅「奥熊野古道ほんぐう」, finally I could reach the goal, Kumano Shrine (熊野本宮大社).
