Recently, Sunday is a driving day for me! As always I drove my car, and I went to Yoshino (吉野) in Nara. This is the second time I had visited Yoshino. When I was an elementary school student I visited there for the first time. But the memory of the visiting is already erased.
In Yoshino cherry blossoms, Japanese cedars and handmaid papers are famous. I want to see the cherry blossoms next spring. The Japanese handmaid papers, Washi (和紙), in Yoshino are called Uda-gami (宇陀紙) and Misu-gami (美栖紙). These are excellent papers, but, unfortunately, the number of paper maker has decrease. Especially, Misu-gami is made by only Mr. and Mrs. Kamikubo now. Probably, the Japanese traditional craft will vanish. I visited Nyoirinji Temple (如意輪寺) and Yoshino Jingu Shrine(吉野神宮).
Next, I went to Eizanji Temple (栄山寺) in Gojo City. The Eizanji Temple holds Hakkaku dou (八角堂) which is a national treasure. I had investigated the paintings in the Hakkaku dou this June. Finally, I also went to Ryujin (龍神) Skyline again. I encounterd deers on the road, but I could not take any photos of them. When I went home I also encountered Danjiri in Kishiwada. I took photos of the Danjiri as follows.
