I truly hope it is appropriate for me to write this entry here.
But I want to let you know people around the globe are in tears about the sad events following the earthquake in Japan.
We are all with you in those difficult times!

今回の地震で被災された方々へ心よりお見舞い申し上げます。

Therefore my honest sympathy and prays for the people which have died in this tragic situaton.

This entry is about another tour we did last week.

In the meanwhile I keep on learning Japanese and still hope to do a full entry in Japanese soon.








This tour was more than 500km away from Bavaria where I live in the eastern parts of Germany.
So we booked a hotel and slept there for 2 days as we drove about 6 hours to get to East Germany.
The region of the tour there is called ‘Erzgebirge’ and it was great to meet so many cool people and cool MINI from that region.



The tour took place the whole Saturday and we visited so many nice places, small villages and great landscapes.



A small part of the tour even took place in the Czech Republic, which is very close by.

Apart from doing tours in the landscape we also have fixed meetings, so we can get together almost every month.
Then we use the day to build in new parts, clean the MINI, we talk and have a big BBQ in the evening.

Usually there are around 20 MINI at the location:


This get-together is always on a Saturday and a whole day.
Some people are just there for some hours, many are there the whole day!

Often the day is used it to build in new parts or to do customizations on our cars.
It’s great that everyone is very helpful and we’re working together, even if it seems to be complicated:


Another very good reason to visit the meeting is cleaning the MINI.
With so many helpful tools, I cleaned my car using a special white shampoo (~_^):


But the best thing about those meetings is the location! (*-*)
It is so great because there is a lot of space for all the MINI’s, a big hall to work on cars, they even have a swimming pool and in the evening we are always doing a BBQ (even in winter)
So one more reason I always look forward to these meetings (especially in the summer):

The biggest Automobile Association in Germany is called ADAC.

For only 45ユーロ (5 076 円) per year they provide free pickup and transport to the next mechanic anywhere in Germany in case a car breaks down.
They also try to fix the problem immediately (which is also free of charge), so most people are part of this association.

Furthermore every month they send out an interesting magazine to every member.
Once a year they creating an overview which cars needed a lot of service cause they broke down very often.

Calculated on the amount of cars sold and the number of breakdowns for each car they have created an interesting overview.
According to them in the compact class the ‘BMW Mini’ was the most reliable car!
