I've started to drive the 323/Familia. It's great! The engine is very lively and the handling is quite good too. The engine is only a 1.3L, but the performance is quite good. It has an unusual engine sound.

There's still some work to do. A friend is going to repaint some areas of the car, we have spent a few hours this weekend preparing it (you can see the Primer). The paint is "J1" Connecticut Blue. I also want to repaint the wheels as they have a few rust spots. And I have a new front signal for the bumper, but I can't remember where it is!

I hope to start painting it next week. Once the car is finished, I'll take some new photos.

Here is my friend's N10. I'm helping him to fix it! It's a 3-door hatchback with the late 1.0L OHC engine. It drives very well, but the bodywork needs some paint and repairs.

The front fenders are quite rusty, you can see the part where they connect to the valance has gone. The mirrors on the fenders were fitted by a previous owner, but the mirror glass is missing. They're not Nissan parts, these mirrors are called 'Tex' and were popular in the 1970s. The basic-spec European model N10 only has one mirror on the door, but you could buy a passenger mirror as an option. Even if I could buy new mirror glass, I think it looks strange to have three mirrors, so I'll remove them.

Because the old fenders were rusty and had extra holes for the mirrors, I looked for new ones. Luckily, I found a pair for about £70 (¥10,000) from a classic car panel company. They need to be painted, but there are some other areas on the car to be painted too. Once the rest of the car is ready, I'll order the paint (Nissan Silver Metallic).

I think it should be ready for August. I hope so!

The original centre box is broken on my 156! The pipe has started to break from the centre box due to corrosion. I can still drive it for now, but it's very loud.

I'm buying a replacement from Supersprint of Italy. It replaces the small centre box with a straight pipe, but the sound won't be too loud as the 156 rear exhaust box is quite big. I don't like my cars to be too loud.
