先日カナダからのメールが届きました。
Whitehead Performanceってショップのマイクハンセンさんから。
昔何処かで話題になった、(内輪ネタだけど)、車体ナンバー00015のUS110に関する話。
でも、「持ってんだよ~!!」なのか、「買ってくれない~?」なのか、判らない。
誰か教えてくださいな。
この車体番号って、ホントは、日産から外には出ていない筈の番号なんだけど、
東南アジアから北米に渡った経歴があることは、以前、誰かから聞いた記憶があります。

We repair, restore, and modify Datsun cars - mostly 240Z 260Z 280Z 280ZX (your Fairlady Z line) However, our boss Greg Whitehead has owned a US110 Silvia RS serial # US110-000015 for 12 years. He purchased it from a gentleman in Toronto who had imported the car from Hong Kong in the 1980's. He claims to have been a NIssan factory test driver who bought this car when the testing was finished to turn into a rally car. It is claimed this car did rally in Hong Kong 2 or 3 times before being shipped to Canada. There must be some truth to the story as this car has many Nismo or Nissan Sports Option parts on the car. 4 piston front brake calipers and competition pads, coilover springs and competition shocks, factory camber plate strut tops, spherical bearing tension/compression suspension rods, limited slip differential, middle close ratio competition transmission, factory bolt in roll cage, exhaust header. There could be more Nissan Sports parts that i missed. The car has only 5500 miles on it since new. Greg has driven the car maybe 200 miles since purchasing the car 12 years ago. It is red in colour with a light brown interior. The roll cage was removed 10 years ago and the factory interior reinstalled (it was brand new wrapped in plastic at the time). The original alloy wheels are missing. The speedometer and odometer read in miles and all gauges are in imperial measurements not metric. It seems to have all options, power fender mirrors, am/fm radio (with japan station range), air conditioning (it works), power windows, and probably other options i cannot remember at the moment. I believe there are spare racing parts for the car still as well, including the rally RS fender flare moulds.
> Unfortunately Greg does not have the time to drive this car and as much as he appreciates the car he feels it deserves a better home. So the car is up for sale. If you know of anyone who would be interested in the car, please let us know and more details can be provided. In any event, i would like to document #15 for you before it leaves our hands so you have more information to add to the history of these cars. At the very least, I'm sure it is nice to hear the interesting journey this car has taken in its life.

現在西会津へ向かい、五百川パーキングエリアでナベコーさんと待ち合わせ中。
すっかり雨です。
ここまで、自宅から一時間半でした。
さて、皆さんの様子や如何に!?

今週末土曜日は、息子のカート練習に栃木のフェスに行く予定です。
元々は、2日連ちゃんで練習のつもりでしたが、
掲題のイベントのお誘い!?があり、
現在ほとんどその気になっています。
だけど、土曜日に栃木往復250kmに続いて
日曜日には、往復300kmなので、少々タイトスケジュール。
土曜日は走らないクルマ。日曜日はうるさいクルマ。
どっちがハードかな??
ガゼ郎さん、我是留さん、ケンタs110、市右衛門さん、しるびあしんちゃん(さすがに無理か・・・)、
一緒に如何?
初のS110S&G東北遠征なんぞも良いのでは???。。。
