The other day i decided to give the wife's mini's wheels a good clean.

Needed to wash of 3 months worth of brake dust though, but gave them a polish with RIMWAX. It should prevent brake dust building up on the alloys.
It goes on nice and easy and gives a great shine, with an added bonus of a nice grape bubblegum smell :-)


先日、ツマのミニのホイールをピカピカにしてあげようと思いました

まず３ケ月分のブレーキダストを洗い流す必要がありましたが、そのあとRIMWAXで磨いてみました
これでアロイに溜まるブレーキダストを防いでくれるはずです
RIMWAXはスムーズに塗ることができてホイールはツヤツヤ。おまけにグレープ味のバブルガムみたいなヨイ香りが　:-)

Ecopa sunday run this week , anybody going ?

In the UK it is Mothers day this Sunday, and i forgot ! lol
Never mind, Japan has a Mothers Day in May so my mum should be happy with 1 late present and extra present for Japan's Mothers Day. I suppose......

けど気にしないでおこう...ちょっとぐらい遅れたって、母さんはハッピーな筈
だって5月の日本の母の日にプレゼントまたもらえるんだから。

ファーストロードカムシャフトをつけたあと、ダブルバルブスプリングもやっちゃうことにした。

ミニスペアーズのハイパフォーマンスロードスプリング。
スタンダードタイプのトップキャップに使用するようデザインされている。

取り付けたバルブの高さは1.34インチで、0.01インチ低くなっただけだから、問題ナシ。スプリングがクラッシュする心配もナシ。

After fitting a Fast Road Camshaft, i decided to fit double valve springs.

These are the High Performance Road Springs from MiniSpares.
They were designed to be used with standard type top caps.

The fitted valve height was 1.34 inch so only 0.01 inch lower , no problems there and no worry about spring crush either.

Slowly rebuilding the engine,

The news about MiniFreak magazine was a surprise.

My heart goes out to all those affected by the earthquake and subsequent tsunami.

I saw on the TV news , one little girl being re-united with her mother. It is sad that those young eyes should be witness to such a thing.

I have been slowly working on my minis engine as the mood takes me, and have fitted a sports camshaft (RS+ from MLMotorsport), a duplex timing chain and a new oil pump so far.

僕の心は地震と津波に影響を受けた全ての皆様を思っています。

テレビのニュースで、一人の小さな女の子が母親と再会するところを見ました。幼い瞳でこんな酷い光景を目の当たりにしてしまって、悲しく思います。

今は気分に任せゆっくりミニのエンジンに取り組んでます。いまのところスポーツカムシャフト(MLMotorsportのRS+)、デュプレックスタイミングチェーンと新しいオイルポンプの取り付け済みました。
