I visited the gas station I usually go to for the first time after the car delivery to change the gas grade of the easy pay IC tag.

The gas station staff I knew approached me saying, “How can I help you? Did you buy the new car?”

“Yep,” I answered.

He said, “Did you sell your Dualis? I bet it was a good sell because of your good care. Oh, by the way, I have a Sirocco, over there.”

“I didn’t notice it. Where is at?” I asked.

It was the same black color.

“We have the same VWs, don’t we?”

As we talked about our cars, we even realized we got our cars from the same dealer.

“Please come back. Next time I would like to have a good look at your new car in the day light,” said he.

He is very good at conversation with people, always letting people talk about what they feel good.

Today my colleague sitting next to me was his last day at work.

He has been working for more than 30 year at the company.

I worked with him only a few years but he taught me a lot about the things that were very valuable.

Some are know-hows, while some are very controversial so that they would better be unspoken.

He said to me while bowing, “I owe you a lot. Thank you very much for everything.”

I could not find any good words to reply, only finding myself bowing deeply.

It was me had to say, “Thank you.”

The director said in his speech, “I repeatedly asked him to come back after his retirement but he refused. We are losing a lot and not sure if we have learned enough from you.”

I don’t think I have learned all the things he has but from now on I have to stand alone without him.

A colleague out of his college a few years ago says, “I was kinda surprised 'cuz it was a business like procedure.” I nodded and say to him, “Well, we are not drunk, aren’t we?”

He really understood and added, “Well, the company has to move on, doesn’t it?”

We stood the outside of our office seeing the retired colleague off from our sight in the cold evening of November.

My birthday.

Some people remembered and gave me happy birthday e-mails.

I was really glad.

I was supposed to get a day off tomorrow but I have to go to work because I could not get the job done.

These e-mails cheer me up so I will go to work tomorrow.

It consists of 425 pages.

Well some pages are shared with the GTI but still it is a great deal of labor.

I wish there were a DVD to watch.

The sales staff said taht it is getting complex and impossible to talk about all the features.

I take the manual out of the car and bring back home every time just in case I have time to read but so far it has been unsuccessful.

How would you prevent the sudden start when you step on the gas pedal just after the car restarts its engine?

When I drove the Golf for the test drive, I was annoyed with the idling stop.

Every time I step on the gas pedal, the car judders.

The engine restarts and gains rev at the same time while the gas pedal is down, causing a judder.

The judder might give some damage to the transmission over the period of time.

I learned just before the signal turns green, I give a just little thrust to the gas so the engine re-fires, and wait for the green light.

This way no judder occurs, and I even learned to use my left foot on the brake while restarting.

Using the left foot makes the whole function very smooth.

The only thing I have to care is to pay attention to the traffic signals.

If I forget to restart the engine before the signal turns green, the car behind me with a shot temper will get irritated.
