My first day at work in 2024 was over smoothly.

I finished job on time, going home early.

I believe today is the first day at work for
many of us with the hope of coming back home early.

It is the same for me.

It was hard to watch the disastrous image
as it was on-aired live on TV.

I am preparing two kinds of sandwiches
this morning.

One is an ordinary sandwich, and the other
is a hot sandwich which I make for the first time.

Coming back from the mall,
I felt a shake in a room.

A quake alert interrupted a new year TV show,
repeating a major earthquake hit the northwest
part of Japan and requesting immediate evacuation.

My happy feeling of the new year day was
completely shattered after watching dreadful
images of the damages.
