「This is the latest statement I have been sent from Michael Schumacher's management team – first an update from his Doctors:

He suffered a severe head injury with coma on arrival, which required neurosurgical intervention immediately.
He remains in a critical situation.”

The Deputy General Manager Marc Sheepish
His manager then sent this:
“Mr. Schumacher was at 12:40 in the Grenoble University Hospital’s admitted after he has had a skiing accident in Méribel end of the morning.
Upon his arrival, he suffered a head trauma with coma, which required immediate neurosurgical treatment.
It remains in a supercritical state.”
Earlier his Press Representative has sent me this statement:
“In a private ski trip in the French Alps Michael fell on the head. He was taken to hospital and medical care professional. We ask for understanding that we can about his health not give continuous information. He was wearing a helmet and was not alone. In his fall, no other person was involved.”
Earlier Gernignon Christophe Lecomte, director of the Méribel, told RMC Sport microphone that the injury of Michael Schumacher on Sunday was not very serious.
“He dropped to 11:07, off-piste at Meribel. He was wearing a helmet and banged against a rock, he said. Relief responded quickly, at 11:15. He was airlifted and taken to hospital in Moutiers. He was shocked, a little shaken but conscious. It may be a head injury but it is not very serious. ”
We all hope for the very best and our thoughts are with him, his family and friends.」
