I had planned to work on a lot of small things today (on the s13), and installing the rocker arm stoppers was one of them. It seemed like it would be a very simple job, but it turned out to take up almost my entire day!

These are the Trust rocker arm stoppers I ordered many months ago, before I purchased the sr20det engine.

The right hand side rocker arm stopper fit perfectly and only took a few minutes to install. The problem was with the left hand side part. They gave me 2 right hand side parts, so when I turned the part around the first and last holes did not line up properly.

The next small problem was the oil baffle... it hits the rocker arm stopper and needed to be trimmed. This was easy to fix.

Here it is installed. The back hole was easy, I just drilled a new hole and it fit perfectly. The front hole I couldn't fix because there was no metal... so I trimmed the front off so it would not hang as much. I am not really happy with this solution, but there was nothing else I could do - I will need to buy another set and change the part. Maybe I'll try a different brand next time hehehe
I was really surprised that the part was wrong, I have a lot of Greddy/Trust parts and have been happy with all of them. This is the first time one of their parts has had a problem... at least it was something that wasn't very expensive.

Since I had to take the valve cover off, I decided to paint it. I didn't want to paint it red, and I think when I repaint the car that I will paint it similar to the G35 - so I chose a color close to that. After I painted it I polished the Nissan lettering - I'm very happy with the way it turned out!

Here is the cover test fitted... I did not have time to reinstall everything properly, it will need to wait until next weekend. I need to replace all of the blue zip ties with black ones... those are only temporary :)

The last thing I did was replace my smaller Momo wheel with a Nardi wheel that Keizo sent over (I decided to keep one for myself Keizo :)). I like the size of this wheel better, the Momo wheel is a little too small for me.
