The mountain of Ueno has been known as a "cherry blossom spot" since the Edo period. During the cherry-blossom viewing season, there are a total of nearly 3.3 million people.
The cherry blossom season in the park begins when the "daikanzakura" on both sides of the park entrance bloom. It was a warm afternoon on March 14th, and it was a weekday, so there weren't many people, but on holidays, the cherry blossom trees are crowded with people taking commemorative photos with the cherry blossoms in the background.
