What dreams are made of..

This right here is what you get when you take incredibly talented photographers and let them spend a few hours with an equally incredible piece of machine. Comparing it to watching an artist paint the most beautiful picture on his canvas would be an understatement. Our good friends Connor & Ryan were recently given the opportunity to shoot one of our all time favorite cars, the R34 Nissan Skyline GT-R. This isn't your "ordinary" Skyline though. It's truly a piece of engineering that has left it's imprint all over the internet and magazines not too long ago. Last time we checked it was pushing over 550WHP, but it could be way past that nowadays. For many of us, this right here is what dreams are made of.

While we tend to showcase more of the "extremely low and wide" cars here on our site, at the end of the day we're still car enthusiast who love all kinds of cars. Don't get us wrong though, this beautiful Skyline is rocking some pretty aggressive wheels as well. The fellas from Portland Speed Industries went with a set of HRE C20 wheels in 19x11 all around and 295/30/R19 tires. They dropped the car on SilkRoad coilovers and finished the shoes off with some 8 piston front and 4 piston rear Brembo brakes.

Portland Speed Industries has been associated with Nissan Skylines for a while now, whether it be a beautiful older R32 or a brand spanking new R35. This particular car was built a couple of years ago and it is still talked about to this day by many car enthusiasts. Hit the Read More button below for more awesome photos! Big shout out to Connor of Yaer Productions for making this happen!

Under the hood you'll find a GReddy T618-Z twin-turbo. They also had some custom intercooler piping done in-house along with a Top Secret exhaust manifold, Amuse titanium turbo-back exhaust, Tomei cams and more! The interior features a custom set of Status Racing Laguna carbon fiber seats and a whole lot of re wrapping and overlaying with the help of Bishop Customs. Take a look at a couple of beautiful photos of the interior and under the hood of this Skyline below.

We'll end this here with some more fine photography by the talented Yaer Productions fellas. Big shout out to them as well as Portland Speed Industries once again. Stick around for some exclusive Japanese content in the next couple of days and don't forget to email us with photos of your cars!

Simplicity is beauty.

I've had my eye on this local Lexus IS for some time now and thankfully just last weekend I had the opportunity to take some decent photos of it. It belongs to a friend of mine by the name of Henry Lin who stays up here in the Northern California. I know I've been saying this a lot lately but this is yet another reason why "less" is usually better, in my opinion at least. There is barely any camber here, the stretch is pretty moderate, and besides the wheels the car is relatively stock. Don't get me wrong, we can definitely appreciate cars with extensive & expensive list of modifications, but Henry and his IS are a perfect example of being able to look proper with relatively simple modifications. Check it out!

Photos By: Elvis Skender exclusively for StanceNation.com

The exterior features an INGS +1 front, rear, and sides kirts, as well as a trunk spoiler. INGS' kit is pretty OEM looking, flowing nicely with the OEM IS creases and I felt like it clicked with the car very well. One other thing that Henry did add however is the Custom roof spoiler that you see in the photo above. Again, pretty simple and small modification that refreshed the whole rear end.

Fitment is truly on point. Yes it's on bags and no it's not quite sitting on the lips, but it's as close as it gets especially for how low Henry drives the car around. I was actually very impressed that he only raised the car a few millimeters in order to steer, all day long! As you can tell by that rear fender, riding dumped comes with consequences. If I recall correctly, he is actually considering putting 5+-mm spacers up front so that it sits as flush as the rear end does. Want to find out some specs? Hit the Read More button below now and we'll even throw in a few extra photos for you!

As you can see in these photos, this thing sits extremely sexy. Henry's choice of suspension was the UAS Air with ARNOTT digital air ride controller. When it came time for some fresh kicks he got himself a set of VIP Modular wheels. Fronts are 20x9 with 235/30/20 tire while the rears are 20x10.5's with 255/30/20 tires. After talking a bit, he told me that he is going to possibly go down to 19" so that the car can sit a bit lower the ground. Pretty good idea if you ask me, how about you guys?

By the time we moved to a different location, it was mid day and the 90+ degree weather was taking definitely taking it's toll on both of us. We "kind of" wrapped things up afterwards and headed back to the city to cool off a bit. On our way there I'm pretty confident that at least a handful of necks were broken. As I said before, I am seriously impressed and happy to see that there are still guys out there who roll this hard on air suspension. The picture below was one of my favorites from the whole set.

When we got back in the city we found this one alley that just begged for a couple photos. After spending a few minutes there and getting some random compliments, we called it a day and parted ways! With that said, I would like to thank Henry once again for the opportunity! Car is on another level and it was an honor to shoot it. Look out for more Bay Area cars in the near future as this is just the beginning! In the meantime, please shoot us an email at snfeatures@gmail.com if you're anywhere in NorCal and think your ride has what it takes to be on our site! Have a great weekend!

Just look at it!

Would you just look at it? No really, just look at it! Seriously though, the first time we saw this car on our forums a couple of months ago, we instantly fell in love! While everyone was busy working on their STI's John Gartland took a different approach and started working on his Forester. He bought the car two years ago while he was a lot attendant at a dealership (which he happens to be a tech at now). It was traded in by a couple from Philly with only about 44k miles on the clock. Since then, it's taken a turn from a "functional" family hauler to the current "not so functional" look where he can't even park at his work due to all the speed bumps. With that said, allow us to introduce you to one of only a handful of Foresters that ever came over to the "fitment" scene and absolutely did everything right.

Photos By: Joe Dantone exclusively for StanceNation.com

Two years, 30,000 miles, and a partial sponsorship from Mishimoto later, this is what John ended up with. He tells us that he is confident that he'll keep the car for a long time. When the stock motor blows, it will be time for a six speed swap so that he can stop babying the stock transmission. Along with that will come a fully built motor, and most likely a GT30R & supporting mods. His goal is to shoot for the 400WHP range on a conservative tune, but we'll see how that goes. What we love about John's ride even more is that he actually puts in the work himself. He even says that everything on the car has been, and will be done by him. Whether it be a long night after work, or sneaking in the Brembo swap during his hour lunch break. The benefits of working as a tech at a huge car dealership are endless!

The full spec list can be found at the bottom of the post, so we'll just pick out those that most of you want to know. For example, the wheels are 18x10 +30 Rota SVN-R's in Titanium Chrome with 245/35/18 Yokohama S-Drives. The list of suspension modification is extremely long but it's pretty much dropped on Megan Racing coilovers with every link, arm, bolt pretty much changed or upgraded. You know the drill, hit the Read More button below for a lot more awesome photos by Joe Dantone.

John says that working on these cars 8 hours a day, 6 days a week has its benefits. He knows all the ins and outs of his Forester, and this is just the beginning! You can expect big things in the very near future. We would like to give a huge shout out to the photographer Joe Dantone as well as John himself for making this feature happen. We hope that this right here inspired you to get out there and work on whatever car you have! Wagon, minivan, coupe, sedan, whatever it is that you have, know that it can look awesome as long as you have the passion and a few bucks to spare.

Sexy Lexus!

It's honestly really hard to describe what it's like seeing Dat's car, says our newest photographer Rob Ghaderi. At times it's the same feeling you had when you were just a kid drooling on your moms car window at a sight of a flashy sports car. What it really is obviously is a Lexus IS350. Not just any IS350 however as this particular one is put together extremely well and screams for attention. It's got the kind of presence that is desired by many. Aggressive, yet classy. It's safe to assume that most of you are curious about what he has done to it, so why don't we get right into that!

Photos By: Rob Ghaderi exclusively for StanceNation.com

First and foremost, those wheels! Pretty sure that everyone knows they are Volk TE37's though these were powder coated "Spy Yellow". 19x8.5 in the front with +22 offset and 215/35/19 tires while in the rear it's got 19x10.5's with +22 offset and 265/30/19 tires! Even the lug nuts are Volk Formula to compliment the wheels. Another thing that we liked so much about Dat's car was the fact that it's so typical, yet so unique. TE37's on IS's are nothing new, but by spicing things up a bit with that yellow, it is able to stand out from all other IS'. Dat also dropped the car just enough to tuck some of the tires on a set of Megan LP coilovers and an F-Sport rear sway bar. Job well done, nothing else to say!

The exterior just needed a bit of touching up to compliment the "aggressive" styling of the wheels. Dat opted for smaller stuff such as the Fabolous carbon fiber lip in the front and things like a custom roof spoiler, OEM trunk spoiler and Fabolous rear add on. Under the hood Dat added a Joe Z intake, HKS hybrid filter and lastly, HKS Hi-Power exhaust as you can see in the photo below. We can't stress enough how much we believe in the "less is more" saying. Long list of mods are definitely nice to see, but it's not a must in order to have a "well built" car. Hit the Read More button below for more.

We'll leave you with a few more awesome photos and a huge thank you to our newest photographer Rob Ghaderi as well as Dat Nguyen. This feature was in the making for quite some time and we're glad to finally get a chance to make it happen. Expect more stuff from Utah in the near future! Don't forget to shoot us an email to snfeatures@gmail.com if you think your ride has what it takes to be on our site.

Dumped Status.

There is just something about Miatas that is so damn rad, yet no one really knows what that something is, in our scene at least. Saying that they are fun to drive hard wouldn't really be accurate as most of these Miatas sitting millimeters off the ground can't really be driven "hard". Well, not unless you want to lose your exhaust and oil pan at least. What we have for you today is Jeremy's pride and joy, a 1996 Mazda Miata. What made us appreciate the car even more was the fact that it's from Kansas. I've personally lived there for many years and I'm just blown away that he is able to get away driving this low. They've got potholes that can easily swallow small children and law enforcement like no other.

Photos By: Grant Cox exclusively for StanceNation.com

Jeremy bought the car completely stock just a few months ago and has put quite alot of hard work into it since, especially for being only 18 years old. At the moment he is working on putting in a new motor (these pictures are a couple weeks old), which is one out of many things to come. This thing is dumped on a set of Raceland Coilovers and some Rota Shakotan shoes. They are 15x9 on all corners with 195/45 tires all around. It may not be the lowest but it sure looks awesome laid out!

We're confident that this is just the beginning for this young fitment enthusiast. His car is currently going through a heart transplant along with other small things and we guarantee that you'll see more of it very soon. Big ups to Jeremy as well as everyone out there in the beautiful Sunflower state of Kansas. One of these days we'll come back and maybe throw a get together for you guys just keep doing what you do! As always, hit the Read More button below for a few more awesome photos!
