3rd Coast Raised

3rd Coast Raised

We first saw this car months back, and even back then it was the lowest coupe we've ever seen. It's not just how low this thing sits that got our attention but the fitment is absolutely ridiculous. It's literally sitting on the wheels, with the tires being hidden behind the fenders, and the best part is that Stevie daily drives the crap out of this thing. It's also important you know that the car is not bagged, nor was it lowered for the shoot. If you're anywhere near Houston Texas, sooner or later you'll see this thing crawling down your block. We always tell you that Texans constantly push the limits whether its going lower or running crazy offsets on their rides, and now, here is another perfect example.

Stevie's Civic is sitting Tein Flex coilovers but that alone won't obviously get you sitting as proper as his car does. SPC front camber bolts and skunk2 camber kits, along with the deep concave MB Battles in 9.5" all around would be a good start. Here is a tip to all the new fellas who are getting into the aggressive fitment: The right stretch of the tires is crucial to a perfect fitment, take a close look at Stevie's fitment in the pics below, along with his tire setup. Epic fitment would be an understatement.

Sitting Right:
MB Battles 17x9.5 +15 & 17x9.5 +0
F: Nankangs 205/40/17 R:Falken 912's 205/45/17's
Tein Flex Coilovers
Skunk2 camber kits
SPC front camber bolts (two sets)

To clean up the front Stevie painted his grille and added a red JDM Honda emblem. HFP front lip wasn't low enough for him so he decided to go with another custom splitter under it. It sits perfectly and puts the car less than an inch off the ground. We still don't understand how he can drive this thing around so low. The rear fenders took some nice hits as you can see in the pictures, but no worries, the car will be in the shop very soon where that will be fixed, another set of rims will be mounted and several new mods will be added to the car. Before you ask, you're damn right we'll shoot this thing again!

The sides and the rear are pretty much untouched except the Carbon Fiber roof spoiler and the mudflaps. Stevie is a firm believe in the "Less is more" saying. He is also going to be adding the Apexi world sport 2 exhaust along with other small things. One of the things we were asked to do was to give a big shout out to Team Sun*Works, who is handling the fitment business all over USA, especially in the sunshine state. Also, Slammed Garage & Freddy for the custom front lip. Be on the lookout for another feature of Stevie's VIP Lexus exclusively on Stance:Nation!

We would like to wrap this feature up by thanking Stevie for his time and letting us share this Civic with rest of the world. We can't forget our awesome photographer Robert Tran. As always, if you're in the Houston area, or anywhere in the world really, and feel like your car has what it takes to be on the main page of Stance:Nation make sure you shoot us an email though our Contact Us page. We'll leave you with some more pictures and hopefully it'll encourage you to step your game up!

Bagged Impreza, wtf?

Bagged Impreza, wtf?You either have to be insane to even consider bagging a Subaru Impreza or not really give a damn about what others think and actually do whatever the hell it is you want to do to the car that you paid for. In this instance, we're going to have to assume that the owner went with the second choice. While majority of you probably always thought that Subaru's and airbags should never be used in the same sentence, the reality is that as the time takes it's toll we'll only start seeing more and more of them. As for this Impreza, while we enjoy seeing that front lip on the ground we'd be lying to you if we told you that we haven't seen a better fitted Subie. Regardless, props to the owner for doing something different.
