One of the first..

One of the first..Pretty sure that some of you have yet to see the new 2011 VW Jettas fitted well, so check this out! Thanks to Matt out of Texas, he has already bagged and fitted this '11 Jetta with a clean set of Bentley wheels. We gotta say, we were a bit skeptical about the new Jettas when we first saw them, but this definitely changes our mind. Can't wait to start seeing this laying frames on CCW's and BBS's, and sitting on the barrels with the tires tucked away! Big props to Matt from all of us.

What happens in Vegas…

What happens in Vegas…

You know that saying "Work with what you have"? That's exactly what Ian out of Vegas did, and while it may not be everyone's cup of tea, we're willing to bet there will be a ton of people who enjoy that "Shakotan/JDM Retro" look that this car is rocking. Even if the "beat up" look isn't your thing, we're sure you'll appreciate an inch or so clearance, and -50 offset wheels that sit just past the fenders. One of the main reasons we liked this car so much is that it isn't trying to be like anyone. It's just your typical beat up 280ZX that shows it's age in a good way.

Photos By: Neek Lurk exclusively for StanceNation.com

Ian first bought the car back in '08, where he had to fix up lots of stuff before he could even drive it around. At just 18 years of age, money wasn't really all there for him, so he decided to take things into his own hands and do whatever it takes to get the car running. Just a couple short months later the car was in a drivable condition, but what Ian didn't think about was insuring and registering the car.

Let's just say that he ended up in a lot of crap with the local Vegas authorities, so the car was put back in the garage for some time. Unfortunately, just months later Ian's ZX was involved in an accident where he was sideswiped by a irresponsible driver in a Ford Ranger Truck. As much as he was devastated, the accident opened up a new opportunity for Ian, where instead of blowing thousands of dollars on a 25+ year old car and fixing all that bent up body, he would strictly focus on suspension and fitment. Make sure you hit the Read More button to read the rest of Ian's build story!

Ian sectioned the struts 2.5” shorter to get his suspension travel back and to allow him to go way lower. He also put better (Koni) shocks in to dampen the decently stiff springs from the cheap coilovers. After this, he was at a very nice ride height, but not quite low enough. He couldn’t lower the suspension any lower because front control arms would contact the front cross member. Eventually Ian ran up on this pretty rare set of Chassis Engineering wheels. The wheels and tires put the ride height where he wanted it, but now his issue was beating on the frame rails, at all times!

Ian tells us that he made some "ugly but effective" skid plates, that not only protected his rails, but also the fuel and brake lines that lead to the back of the car! We simply love the creativity and work that some people put into their cars. To them, cars are more than just things that get you from point A to point B, it's an extension of their personalities and styles.

You can check out the full spec list below, but we will wrap this feature by thanking our good friend Neek Lurk for his time and the awesome photos he provided us. We also want to thank Ian for allowing us to feature his Z! Lastly, big shout out to LowBallers as well as SlamBurglers! As always, if you think your ride has what it takes to be on our site, please shoot us an email with some photos!

Fitted EK

Fitted EK

When our photographer Jay Pena asked us if we were interested in featuring a bagged Civic, we certainly had our doubts, but the second we saw the first picture above we knew we had to share it with you. Mind you, the car is not fully done yet, but when you look at the fitment pictures (below) you'll know why we like it. Eric/SLPY (owner) tells us that his Civic is an ongoing project with a long term intent on "function", his other car though (DC2 Integra) is all form and also sitting on a set of CCW's!

Photos By: Jay Pena exclusively for StanceNation.com

Exterior is pretty simple featuring things like the Seeker V2 Roof Wing, Seibon Carbon Fiber hatch and hood, and a clean set of CTR headlights. The scratches and small dents you see will all be fixed very soon when the car goes in for a new paint job, so it doesn't really bother us. Eric also has a lot of other plans for the car after the paint so we're looking forward to that. Check the specs below.

Sitting Right:
CCW LM16's 16x9.5's
245/35/16 Toyo T1R's
D2 Air Suspension

Under the hood there is a K20a semi-built happening. Wiesco Pistons, Rods, IPS cams, TWM Itb's & DTR header are some of the things that are in so far. Eric also took cars of the brake lines and tucked all the wires away. Future plans for Eric include installing the rest of the parts that he has hanging around such as the BNIB CTR headliner, carpet & new fog lights and obviously a fresh coat of paint.

We would like to thank our photographer Jay Pena for the shots, as well as Eric for sharing his car with us. If you're anywhere in the Las Vegas or San Diego area and have a car that you think deserves to be on our site, please shoot us an email!

Eight O’ Eight

Eight O’ Eight

Let's start the week off right, what do you say? Today we'll be showcasing an incredible Nissan 350Z from the great islands of Hawaii. Lucky (owners name) purchased this Z brand spanking new just a couple of years ago, and until recently it was relatively stock. With the awesome powers of internet, Lucky started surfing the Z forums where he first got a glimpse of well fitted Z's such as Milt's and Edafe's, just to name a couple. That's how things started, and this is where they are at now.

Believe it or not, this is Lucky's daily driver. You're thinking it's bagged right? Nope, the stance you see here is static on Stance Gr+ Coilovers. We're willing to bet that the Aerosync N-Style front bumper takes a serious beating but if you wanna play, you gotta pay. The thing that sticks out the most about this car besides how insanely low it is are those super wide Work Eurolines it's sitting on. The fronts are 5 inches wide and the rears are 7 inches wide. It's not the first time we've seen such huge lips on a Z before, but every time we do, it makes us say "Damn!".

Sitting Right:
Work Euroline DH
19x10 with 225/35/19 tire.
19x11 with 245/35/19 tire.
Stance Gr+ Coilovers

There is literally less than an inch of clearance between the front bumper and the ground. Seeing 350Z's and G35's sitting this low isn't really anything new you may argue, but it certainly takes balls and gets our respect. It is simply mind blowing to think that these guys ride this low on daily basis!

Lucky wanted to give a big shout out to Team Mansu from Hawaii as well as his friend Raymond who helped him out. The biggest thank you however goes out to all the Z guys who inspired Lucky to get in this "aggressive fitment" scene because without them you wouldn't be sitting here reading this and looking at this incredible car. Let's hope that this car will inspire others to do the same, and even better!

We'll leave you with a few more pictures, but for a full set please check out our Flickr page. We would like to thank our photographer Emil Corpuz from the 808 as well as Lucky. Be on the lookout for some more dope rides coming to you from Hawaii and make sure you shoot us an email if you think your car deserves the spotlight! Our incredibly talented photographers are all over the states!

Liberty VIP x Stance:Nation

Liberty VIP x Stance:Nation
What makes an awesome crew, cars or the people in it? Or is it both? If you went with the last option then you definitely need to be introduced to Liberty VIP. In just over 2 years they have taken internet, magazines & car shows by storm, and have evolved into one of the most respected crews out there. They take pride in their name and all of their rides, and have utmost respect for every single car & crew out there that's doing it right. We've been meaning to do this feature & photo shoot for what seems like months now, and just recently it became a reality when our photographer Ronaldo Stewart caught up with them. Before anything, we have to say that it is our honor to feature these great bunch of guys.

Photos By: Ronaldo Stewart exclusively for StanceNation.com

The crew was started in 2008 by one member, Rob who is from Philly. In the summer of 2009, 5 guys from NY all joined the same day, with the goal of uniting the VIP scene on the North East. The name "Liberty" was a fitting name since it stands for the freedom in everyone's modding style and everything they represent. Drive what you want (has to be a luxury car) and mod your ride the way you want. Although they have many of the same model cars, they each have their own characters that's what makes them stand out. What you see in these pictures are just a few of their cars.

Liberty VIP spreads from New England to Canada, Down south through the Mid West. Heck, they even have guys on the west coast, Hawaii, Australia & Japan! At the end, it's all about having fun, helping each other out and enjoying the scene. Make sure you click the Read More button to find out even more about these guys! Our photog Rondalo really did a great job capturing their rides, you'll love it.

What you see above is Rodney's awesome Acura TL. It's sitting on Leon Hardiritt Orden's in 19x10 up front and 19x11 in the rear. It also features Air Runner with custom Dakota Digital Auto Leveling System. A ton of custom body work was also done including the widening of all the fenders (front & rear) as well as radiusing using all steel. The mod list is pages long, but this is a perfect example of what you can expect from Liberty VIP. Check out the way this thing sits!

Another awesome car is Brendan's awesome Q45. We always say that there is nothing better than seeing a big body such as this one laid out on the ground. One thing in particular that we loved about it was the one-off Innovations kit from Auto Glam. You won't see anything like this anywhere else.

Variety of luxury cars influenced by the VIP scene is what it's all about. The guy's didn't just stick to your regular "VIP Platform" cars and that's what makes them even more awesome in our book. Check out Fat Mike's dumped Mercedes-Benz CL500!

Again, something different. Frank who is from New Jersey is the owner of this slammed G35 Coupe.

The car that collects trophies and medals like no other, Smitty's M45. Sporting a set of aggressive Work wheels and a crap load of custom body work. Check out the one-off rear fenders. You just don't see cars like this being built now a days. True work of art if you ask us.

We would like to wrap this up by showing you a few more pictures and by thanking everyone from the Liberty VIP crew for doing this for us. You guys constantly push the boundaries and we hope you know that you are all looked up on by a ton of VIP enthusiasts around the world. Keep doing your thing and you will always have our support!

Make sure you visit Liberty VIP blog as it get's updated on the regular basis. From recent builds to random Liberty sightings, it's definitely a cool site to have in your bookmarks. If you want more pictures please head on over to Ronaldo's flickr for the whole set!
