The Island Trio Part 1

Our friend & photographer Emil Corpuz had a chance to meet up with a few Scion fellas (Danny, Aaron and Marshall) back in Hawaii just a few days ago, and since Emil took about 30 shots we'll break this into 3 individual pieces and one last set of all 3 cars together. First up is Danny Castillo's '05 Camo Green xB. These cars really don't require much to look good, so most of the stuff done to this one is relatively straight forward. While more focus was dedicated towards sitting right, Danny definitely did a great job making sure his xB looked fresh as well. Let's take a closer look at it below shall we?

Photography By: Emil Corpuz exclusively for StanceNation.com

This sexy box is sitting on the legendary AME Shallen LX's in 17x8.5 (+17) up front and 17x9.0 (+11) in the rear. It takes more than just the right set of wheels though to sit right, right? Well, Danny decided to go with the universal bags (front tanabe coil-over struts) with Accuair VU4 solenoid valves that dropped his car just enough to tuck majority of the tires inside the fenders. Once that was all set and done, One Ton Garage (otg) -3 rear camber plates were added which gave it the perfect fitment you see above.

You can view many more pictures of Danny's ride below, but we strongly urge you to check out this short video of our soon to be "official videographer" doing work and covering the photoshoot as it' was happening. Big thanks to the homie Timmy Bantolina for always taking care of us!

Rest of the car was pretty much untouched other than the Kenstyle front lip kit and the Oratara front face finisher. Check out the sick finish on those Shallen wheels! Oh so beautiful...

While we would love to spend more time telling you all the obviously wonderful things about Danny's xB, we actually have to go back to the drawing board and start the write up of the other xB's that came out. We would like to thank Emil, Timmy and Danny for making this happen. Danny asked us to give a big shout out to Spellbound c.c., Dohcresearch.com, Style RV, Forjworks & APgarage for all their help and inspiration. Stick around, you'll love Marshall's and Aaron's rides just as much. Aloha everyone!

Do you poke?

Check out Breezy's slammed Miata sitting on a set of Superlite wheels in 15×10 with -12 offset. This thing is poking like no other and for some reason we find ourselves loving every bit of it. You may remember his old setup that we posted a while back which was just as crazy. If this continues, it's pretty clear that Breezy's next setup will shock the nation! Can't wait to see what this summer brings!

Essence

I was at the first round of the Lone Star Drift Series in Houston a couple weeks ago when I spotted this nice IS300 that looked familiar. I have talked to the owner (Andrew Hudson) before at a local meet in Dallas the previous year, but never got to shoot his ride until now. He may not have the lowest or the most aggressive setup, but it looks great. Simple and very functional to boot. As you can tell from all the dings and cracks on his kit, he drives this car all the time and drifts it from time to time. Hit the Read More button and scroll down on the bottom to see some drift shots! Form + Function = Win.

Turn off the lights.

When Julian Morales first hit us up about a silver STI on orange Rotas he was going to shoot, we didn't think much of it. Seriously though, orange rotas on silver STI. right? Knowing Julian and being a fan of his photography for quite some time now, we had some hope. Fast forward a few days and not only were we proven wrong when we saw how awesome the photos are, but this was one of our favorite STI's out there. We prefer simple/clean cars, and Adam's STI definitely had that going. At the same time though, put it next to a group of STI's and it'll stick out like a sore thumb. Very creative.

Like we said before, the wheels are Rota G Forces in 18x9 with +30 offset all around wrapped in 225/40/18 tires all around. For coilovers, Adam went with the BC Racing coils which gave him just the right stance. All this beauty is putting down 300 awhp & 330 awtq. What more can you ask for? We can't thank Julian enough for hooking us up with these pictures, and a big shout out to ‎Adam, Donald, Clifford and Vincent for all their help. PS: First shot is currently our desktop.
