Street Sweeping Z

Our buddy Austin Lee from Southern California hit us up a while back about his dumped Z, wondering if were interested in showing it off on Stance:Nation. What's strange is that just a few days prior to that we saw his Z in person and were checking the hell out of it. What stands out the most about this Z is how low it is obviously. Mind you, the car is sitting on Ksport Basic air ride kit, but Austin drives drove it around pretty low too. He also wanted the kit to kiss the ground, so ings was the only way to go. As a matter of fact it was so low that it cracked the bumper first time he layed the car out. He also wanted to do a color no one ever thought of on a Z, so he chose the high end Sandstone Beige Metallic that can be seen on a Lexus SC300. It may not be everyone first choice but it's certainly different!

The deep dish wheels you are looking at are Vip Modular VX110's in 18x10.5 (-16) up front and 18x12 (-6) rear. VIP Modular has been stepping their game up lately and people are finally noticing the awesome quality and appearance of their wheels, including ourselves. We'll get into that later, but tonight it's all about this slammed Z. Believe it or not, as nice as the car looked Austin recently sold it to a guy named Preston and got himself an Infiniti Q45. He tells us that he wants to get into the VIP scene, and we just have a feeling that you'll be seeing the Q on S:N very soon as well!

We'll include the full specs list on the bottom of this post. Big thanks to Austin for always showing love to Stance:Nation, and congrats to the new owner (Preston) on the new purchase. We've already spoked to Preston and he has a few plans for the car already. It won't stay the same for very long, don't you worry. USDM Jam 2011 Ver.8 Photo Coverage // Part 4

Looks like we'll wrap up our coverage of USDM Jam with this last set of photos. Some of the things we learned from it is that we really need to step our game up and do more to our cars to stand out than sticker bombing our windows, rusting our body panels and slapping a roof rack on our cars just to be trendy. Now, don't get us wrong here, there is nothing wrong with putting one or two stickers on your car to show support, but sticker bombing never was nor will it ever be a cool thing to do. You get the point, now take a look at this coverage brought to you by our Japanese staff member Anju!

According to Hawaii..

Allow us to introduce you to Scott Miyata's Honda Accord. Purchased brand spanking new in 1994, it has stayed in the family ever since. Throughout the years it has undergone quite a few different stages, but all that changed when he met Samson Mak from Revision Audio. For those who aren't familiar with Samson, let's just say that he plays a huge roll in the Hawaiian automotive scene, especially the VIP side of it. Scott has an idea of what he wanted to do to with the the car and with the help of Samson, things started to slowly come together. The end results are a mixture of JDM and VIP style, and a touch of what Scott likes to call "Tsuraichi". We're talking lip to lip action here! Take a look at these awesome pictures below taken by our photographer Emil Corpuz.

We'll have the full mod list at the very bottom of this post for you, but we'll run through some of the most notable stuff with you. This 17 year old Honda Accord is laid out on JDM Air Runner Suspension kit (bolt-on kit from Japan with dampening), and we mean laid out. If it wasn't for those big 18" wheels, it's frame would probably be sitting on the ground. It's obvious though that Scott's intent was never for the frame to sit on the ground, but rather sit on the lips of his sick & unique wheels.

You're probably wondering what's so unique about the wheels right? Well, we're told that those SSR VF1's are the only ones stateside in the SBC (super black coat) finish. Front wheels are 18x9" and rears are 18x10", and if you're not impressed with their width, it's not a problem. You should know that it's all about the offsets! Front tires are 215/35/18 and rears are 225/35/18 Federals. Check out more photos and specs by clicking the Read More button below.

Up front you'll recognize the Greddy valance while rear and sides are from Wings West. V.I.S took care of the CF hood and trunk, and for the CF gas door, Scott went with the JDM OEM Honda Carbon Fiber one. Also, almost all of the exterior lighting was swapped with those from JDM OEM Accord.

Under the hood it gets even better. A 2000 Honda Prelude (H22a4 ) swap, with matching 5 speed transmission (converted from Auto). Apexi WS2 fully stainless cat-back Exhaust System, Exedy stage 1 clutch, Type S pistons & rods, and Type S valve springs and retainers were also added. Those are just a few of many other things. Scroll down to read the full list.

As you see in the picture above, the interior is far from stock. Up front Scott got himself a pair of JDM OEM Euro-R Recaro racing seats and Takata 4 point seat belt Harnesses. You'll also notice A pair of Authentic Recaro Pillows (super autobacs) in the backseat. Trust us, there is a lot more to it, just scroll down! Big thanks to Scott and Emil for making this shoot/feature happen!

Yet another set of photos from the USDM Jam event held in Japan a few days ago. Please make sure you check out the first two parts [1 & 2] as they explain what exactly USDM Jam is. Big shout out to Tetsuya Yamaguchi for throwing such a sick event, and all of our Japanese friends for coming out. It's an honor to be a part of such a cool event and we're already waiting for Vol.9! With that said, check out a few photos that our Japanese staff member Anju snapped for us. 私達は日本を愛しています!!!

Epic Fitment.

One of our fans tipped us off about this incredible S13 that he stumbled up on. Unfortunately at the moment we don't have any specs for you since all we received were links to images, but things like the Work Bersaglio's and the epic fitment are quite obvious. With the fitment/drift world being dominated by the S-Chassis crowd, it really does take a lot to stand out and gain respect. In our opinion, this car pulls it all off just right. If anyone has more information on the car or who it belongs to please drop a comment below or shoot us an email. We would love to find out more information about this beast.
