The Mazda3 Movement

It seems that the Mazda boys are getting really serious with their 3's. We've featured a couple of them with down right insane fitment, one from California the other for Texas. Today however, we're taking you across the Pacific ocean to the great state of Hawaii. The owner Mark and our photo/video guys Emil Corpuz and Jay More went out for a drive around city where they took a ton of photos and made an awesome short video for you all to see. We give props to all you Mazda hatch owners for having the guts to push your cars to the extremes. We urge everyone to check out the video below before anything as it shows us things that photos just can't quite capture.

Front end features a GV Front Lip/Spoiler Lip, and all the moldings and badging were removed for that "clean" look. Most of the other exterior modifications are relatively light and simple. We'll save you from reading it all so you can actually enjoy the photos. On the inside Mark threw in a JBarone Weighted Shift Knob & Short Shift Plate while rocking a set of ProSport Premium Guages (Oil Pressure, Boost, A/F Ratio) & UltraGuage. Most of the money and time was spent under the hood and getting that dope fitment, so make sure you scroll down for some specs and numbers!

Dumped on the ground on BC Coilovers and sitting just right on Works VS-KF's finished in Burning Black color. Front wheels are 19x9 +38 w/15mm spacer upfront and 19x10 +26 w/3mm spacer in the rear. Mark's tire choice were a set of Kumhos in 215/35/19 all-around. Lastly he added the Dominant Engineering Rear Camber Arms just to clear the fenders and give it that nice look. Make sure you hit the Read More button to check out more photos and see what's going on under the hood.

Under the Hood:
- TurboXS FMIC
- Injen CAI
- COBB Turbo Inlet
- Denso Iridium 1-step Colder plugs
- 3in Catless DownPipe
- 3in HKS Hi-Power Catback Exhaust
- Flex Innovations Gound Kit
- HKS BOV/BPV (recirculated)
- Spin-On Oil Filter Conversion kit
- HyperTech Programmer

Mark is still not done with his ride however. Future plans consist of things like the GT3071/36R w/ METH system, SteedSpeed Turbo Manifold, CPE Fuel Pump and a custom tune from COBB AccessPort. We would like to give a big shout out to all of our Hawaiian fans as well as Mark, Emil and Jay for all their help. Stay tuned for more sick stuff out of Hawaii, but in the meantime we wish you all a happy 4th of July!

Shout out to:

- JS4KIX Garage
- EMP (Elite Mazda Performance)
- 808R3VOLUTION

Odysseys of Japan

There hasn't been a Odyssey post for a few weeks now, so why not put these up, right? Daishi Sakamoto sent us a few photos of a recent Honda Odyssey event that brought out 100's of vans and spectators. The Wagonist magazine photographers also came out to cover the event and shoot a couple of cars individually. You can see their photographer doing work in the photos below. With that said, we would love to hear what your favorite "style" is in the Japanese car modding scene. VIP? Drift? Vans? Boso? Let us know in the commment box below please. It's about 100 degrees here in California and we gotta get out of this office for the day! We wish you all a happy & safe July 4th by the way!

Speedshop // DB8 Type R

Oh how we love our Japanese photographers & fans! Our photographer Shota Mori and his friends recently made a trip to Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture where they made a stop at a local tuner shop by the name of Speedshop. The fellas over at Speedshop got their hands on this beautiful Honda DB8 Integra Type-R recently and did some touching up. They threw on a Crux coilover kit from the EG6 and turned the perches down just a tad. For the wheels, they mounted on a set of RS Watanabe R Type wheels in 15x8.5 & 15x9 w/175/50R15 tires all around. It's nowhere near done as this is going to be a long term project for Speeshop, but at least it shows us that they've got their fitment perfected! Big shout out to all of our Japanese fans & photographers as well as all the guys from the Speedshop!

Old School Rocks!

When our photographer Jim Davis first told us that he recently finished shooting a first gen MR2 on BBS' we couldn't wait to see it. Now we will be honest with you, we've had our doubts since we've never really seen a properly fitted first gen. Those doubts quickly faded away when Jim showed us the photos. Mind you, if you're expecting a pan scraping, spark throwing, insanely aggressive fitted MR2, you'll be a little disappointed. However, if an extremely clean ride with just the right fitment is what you want then you'll love what Ryan Kramer out of Albany, New York has built.

Photos By: Jim Davis exclusively for StanceNation.com

Now if you assumed that all this MR2 has going for it are a set of wheels and a drop, you're in for quite a surprise. Ryan has spent a very long time perfecting his suspension. Take a look at all the suspension work in the list he provided us with.

Suspension:
-Whiteline G4 coilovers
-Techno Toy Tuning front tie rod flip kit
-Techno Toy Tuning roll center adjusters
-Twos R Us tie rod endlinks
-Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings

From what you read, it's a bit more than your eyes can see. Ryan seems to be one of those guys who isn't quite ready to sacrifice the "function" of this fun little MR2! Scroll down for more photos and some numbers of the wheel and tire setup.

Ryan is running a set of BBS RS wheels 16x8 all around (+37 front and +24 rear) with 195/40/16 Yokohama S.Drive tires. These numbers are clearly on the low side to many of you, but let's not forget that we're working with form & function here. We'll get into that more later, so don't forget to click the Read More button below. By the way, we're all for being different with your wheels, but there aren't many wheels that can come close to the BBS RS'. Same goes for the TE37 line up as well as the legendary Meisters and Emotions. You know the saying; "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Under the hood you'll find a NST 14.5psi crank pulley kit, a Gruntbox ECU mod, Techno Toy Tuning test pipe and a Clutchmasters FX100. If reading and looking at these photos doesn't put a smile on your face we're not sure what will. Finding a first gen MR2 that's in as good of a condition and sitting as nice as this one is pretty damn rare, so major kudos to Ryan for that. Let's hope it inspires some of you out there with cars collecting dust in your garages to get up and get wrenching!

Interior was left pretty simple. Momo Montecarlo steering wheel, TRD leather shift knob, Autometer boost gauge and a Scion Pioneer head unit do the job for now. Unfortunately we don't have any interior photos for you at this time but we're pretty sure it's in pristine condition just like the exterior.

Big shout out to Jim Davis for yet another incredible set of photos as well as Ryan for building such an incredible ride. We urge everyone to think twice before passing up on older cars. They may not get you as much attention from random strangers, but true car enthusiasts will always envy you. We'll leave you with more photos below and a huge thank you to all of our North East fans!

Simple & Just right.

We've been meaning to post this car for weeks now but it gets really busy around here sometimes and we tend to forget things! Our photographer Ryan Norris recently shot some photos of Fabian's extremely clean DB1. As much as we all love that crazy flush fitment with the tires tucked and lips poking out, most of us tend to sometimes get carried away with the "hype" and completely miss out on the simple and clean cars, such as this one. Dropped just right on a set of BBS wheels, this is another one those cars that deserves more exposure. Yet another reason why you shouldn't underestimate the east coast. Big ups to Fabian and the whole east coast for doing it right. We have mad respect for you guys!
