Hellaflush Kansai, Japan Photo Coverage // Part 2

We're running a bit late on this second part of our Hellaflush Kansai photo coverage due to having so many incredible cars to feature. There are still a handful of individual car features lined but we figured if we don't post this today we won't get a chance to for another week at least. Anyway, everything that needed to be said about this event that the Fatlace crew put together has already been said previous (click here) so without further adieu, let's get straight into the photos. This time around we'll be showing you all the photos that our talented photographer Park Baker sent to us! Big shout out to the FTLC crew from all of us at StanceNation here.

Eurothon 2012 Photo Coverage

While the name Eurothon may not be as common as say Worthersee, the guys behind it have been going strong for well over 10 years. Just about a week ago our friend Sid Fligel was able to go up to Yorktown Heights, NY where Eurothon was held and thankfully take a few photos for us. Judging by all the photos we have seen it's safe to say there were at least a hundred cars. Not the biggest turnout, but definitely great for what's considered a "meet" and not a show. Regardless, it's all about hanging out enjoying the nice scener, great weather and of course just chilling with friends. Take a look at some photos below and see if you recognize any of the cars that we previously featured!

D/L/K Nissan Silvia S15

There are people who enjoy building simple builds that usually consist of suspension, wheels and maybe a front lip, then you have people like Takashi who enjoy taking things to a whole another level. People such as Takashi tend to not care what society thinks of their cars. The cars they build attract attention (good & bad), they start controversy on forums and social networks, and most importantly, they build cars the way they want to. It may not be the most liked Silvia stateside (yet), but from what our friends tell us, the Japanese are going crazy over it! With that said, let's take a closer look at this loud, wild, attention grabbing, 326 Power(ed) Nissan Silvia S15!

Photos By: Takashi exclusively for StanceNation.com

We're pretty sure that many of you guys have seen this car in it's previous stages. Takashi goes thru wheels and paint every few months it seems. (Click here for a photo of the previous setup) One of the things that we feel must be pointed out a few times is that this thing is coilovers. We wouldn't usually be making a big deal out of it but this is easily one of the craziest static setups we've ever seen. But then again, you can't expect anything less from full 326 Power suspension, from custom coilovers with super high spring rates, to upper arms and tension rods.

The exterior of this thing is just insane. Takashi literally built the fenders with the intention of running a crazy aggressive wheel setup. Everything from widening of fenders to radiusing was done in order to run some of the most aggressive setups out there. Like this particular set of Work Meister M1R. They are 18x10 all around (which doesn't seem that aggressive at first until we give you the offsets) with offset of -37 in the front and a ridiculously low -57 in the rear! When it comes to tires, it is running Achilles ATR's sized in 215/35/18. Which reminds us, is it just us or does there seem to be a huge amount of people that have their doubts in Achilles tires? Achilles tires seem to be a very popular tire to stretch in the land of rising sun and if we've learned anything by now it is that Japanese know everything in stretch/fitment department. With that said, go ahead and show some love to Achilles here stateside.

We almost forgot to mention that the car is also running one of our favorite S-Chassis kits. Yes, you guessed it right, it's the legendary 326 Power Aero! We weren't the biggest fans of those fake vents at first but overtime they have definitely grown on us. We would love to hear what you think about the kit so drop your comments below! Oh before we forget, the front fenders are one-off, built by Takashi and his friends at D/L/K!

Oh you thought that stance was just for shows? Takashi drives his S15 all over Japan at the same height. Ridiculously low. Check out these photos he shot just for us couple of weeks ago. We also have a little surprise for you towards the bottom of the page so make sure you check that out.

In the 7 years that Takashi owned his s15, it have gone thru almost 5 completely different stages. You kind of wonder what is up next when you see stuff like this right? Well, we did at least, and when we asked Takashi that, he simply told us that some day he wants to throw in a "V12 engine" of some kind. We're dead serious.

We are going to leave you here with a huge thanks to our new friend Takashi and the entire D/L/K crew! Expect more features from these guys right here on StanceNation! If you think your car has what it takes to be on our site make sure you email us at snfeatures@gmail.com. Make sure you include a few photos and your spec list as well as any other information we should know about you or your car. We’re always looking for cars to feature! In the meantime we’ll see you guys over on our facebook.

Frame Dragging TSX.

If you're one of our 200k+ Facebook fans (click here) chances are you've seen us post a video of this car before. Many of you thought it was the silliest thing ever to be throwing sparks on a car that's sitting on coilovers, but not us, and clearly not Julian. Julian happens to be the owner of this ridiculously low Acura TSX who he drives on daily basis. Don't ask us how he does it though, you'll have to check out this video that Mike Sugg recently shot to get an idea. The Pacific Northwest has been putting out a ton of amazing cars lately so it shouldn't come as a surprise that Julian happens to be from Bellevue, Washington. These guys know their sh*t, let's just leave it at that for now...

Photos By: Kee May exclusively for StanceNation.com

Julian previously owned a 2007 Honda Accord and had plans of getting it to where his TSX is at now, but unfortunately it was totaled and he never had that chance. Right when he first purchased his TSX he instantly fell in love with the Euro R lip kit for the 06-08 TSX, but eventually he ended up changing his mind and deciding to go for an 04-05 front end simply because he felt that it looked more aggressive. Being on a pretty tight budget, he went with the VIS replica lips since he couldn't afford the hefty price tag of the real Euro R sides and rear, and not to mention the wait time to ship from Japan. He seems like a pretty simple kind of guy when it comes to modding. Well, simple with a crazy obsession for lows that is. We have yet to see another TSX that sits as low as Julian's and we've seen many..

You're asking yourselves, just how does he sit so low? It's pretty simple actually. Twist the crap out of your BC Racing BR Extreme coilovers perches with some 18kg/16kg springs, upgrade to J’s racing extended lower ball joints and accept the fact that sooner or later you're going to end up on the side of the road with broken oil pan or something along those lines. Actually, when we asked Julian what he has planned for his car, he told us that everything is on hold as recently his axle snapped and caught on fire. Luckily the fire didn't do any real damage and the car should be running in a couple weeks. At this point, half of you are probably thinking that Julian needs some serious help while the other half are inspired & motivated to slam your rides.

All of the fenders on the car have been flared properly for that extra clearance. Julian is currently running a set of Work VS-XX wheels sized in 18×10.5 all around with an offset of 19, though we've seen photos of this bad boy on a set of Cobra replica wheels and it looks just as good. Julian has been contemplating widening his rear quarter panels and going with a much more aggressive wheel setup since he is getting bored of the VS-XX's already, so we're definitely looking forward to that! At the same time we feel that it should be left as is because it's so damn good.

As said above, the exterior features a 04-05 front bumper, 04-05 VIS Aspec lip, and 06-08 VIS Euro-R sides and rear. Julian tells us that hopefully he'll end up with an authentic kit in the near future, but it's not on his priority list at the moment. He is thinking about switching up the front end with a couple different lips so that he'll be able to switch between them for shows and meets. The California car scene inspired him to want to have several kits and sets of wheels because he says that it seems like everyone down in Cali seems to always have something new on their cars at every show.

One last thing we asked Julian was what his opinion is on the stance/fitment community up in the PNW. His response: "By far the best thing about the stance scene in the northwest is the people I've met. We have a really great group of people in the NW and everyone is very supportive. I’d especially like to thank the Tailored Gang for pushing me and my car to what it has become today. Tailored Gang is a close group of friends who are like a second family to me."

With that said, we'll leave you with a few more photos as we always do. Also, a huge thanks to Julian as well as Kee May for shooting Julian's awesome car.

Form + Function // 454RWHP Mazda RX7

We're pretty sure that we're not alone when we say that Mazda RX7 will probably go down in history as one of the finest cars that ever came out of Japan in the recent history, and by far one of the finest vehicles that Mazda ever built. We have been working on getting this particular FD on our site since last year and with the help of our photographer Ronaldo Stewart it's finally here. At first you may think it's just an extremely clean show car that has nothing going for it besides the looks, which is okay. We thought the same thing actually, until the owner (Steve Prew) forwarded us his specification list. We'll get into the all the specifics a little later but for now let's just say 454whp @ 24psi.

Photos By: Ronaldo Stewart exclusively for StanceNation.com

Why don't we start with the exterior first. One of the biggest changes to the car that you'll notice is of course that full GP Sports body kit. Steve also did a few smaller changes and additions though that many of us non-FD owners will easily overlook. OEM 99 spec turn signals, OEM 99 spec tail lights & Wise Sports crystal clear headlights just to name a few.

While it may not be as low as most of the cars that we tend to feature, there is no denying that it sits beautifully. Steve's choice of wheels is pretty awesome actually. SSR Comp-H's sized at 18×10.5 all around with an offset of +43. They were finished off with a gloss black powder coat. In order to have the wheels exactly where he wanted them to Steve had to add 5mm spacers up front and 15mm spacers in the rear (effective offset, +38 F, +28 R).

Suspension wise the car is sitting on Apexi EXV coilovers, though Steve has a few more goods added to keep everything in control such as Megan Racing toe links and trailing arms. Behind those stunning SSR Wheels sit StopTech slotted rotors, pads, and stainless steel brake lines accompanied by Motul RBF600 brake fluid. If you haven't figured out by now, let's just say that this beast gets "driven aggressively" at times.

We're really loving the Black/Red theme this thing has going for it. How about you? Drop a comment below.

That brings us under the hood. What you see in the photo below is Steve cleaning up his street ported and rebuilt 13b-rew engine that's sporting a PT67 Billet Precision Turbo. Many of the parts have been powder coated black to go with the black/red theme. Powder coating the R1 strut tower bar red was a brilliant idea in our opinion. Looks perfect!

Make sure you scroll all the way down for the entire specification list of not only the engine but every other modification that Steve ever added. As we mentioned before, the car puts out 454RWHP @ 24PSI. Now if we only had a video of this bad boy tearing it down the track our life would be complete.

Interior features a ton of modifications starting with custom red with black lettering Recaro SPG seats that are sitting on of course Recaro sliding rails. All plastic panels were refinished or replaced at one point and the entire center console, shifter and e brake boots were leather wrapped and red stitched. Few other things that Steve did to the interior include a Sparco Champion Limited Edition steering wheel with Work s Bell Steering Wheel Hub and custom red LED gauge cluster with JDM black gauge bezels. It's obvious that no amount of words or photos will ever do this car justice. It is truly one of those cars that has to be seen in person to be fully appreciated, in our opinion.

With that said, we'll leave you with a couple more awesome photos that our very talented photographer Ronaldo Stewart captured. Huge thank yo goes to to him for making this happen and of course a special thanks for to Steve. The amount of respect we have for Steve simply can not be put in words.

If you think your ride has what it takes to be on our site, don't forget to shoot us an email at snfeatures@gmail.com with a few photos as well as specifications. We're always looking for cars to share with our awesome fans!
