700WHP x 2JZGTE x ISO

One of the cars that I was looking forward to seeing in person the most this year was Zebs awesome Lexus GS. I finally had a chance to meet Zeb and take a closer look at it at our Chill n' Grill event we threw couple months ago (which I gotta say was awesome). It was one of my favorite cars there though I do wish I had often a chance to see it run. Why? Because 700+ WHP. That's right, this isn't you ordinary slammed GS, it's pushing an Aristo 2JZGTE VVTI swap with Aristo 4-Speed Transmission, V300 Drive Shaft, V300 Differential with Cusco LSD and Precision GT40-67 Turbo. Well, a ton more stuff actually. I didn't get a chance to shoot the car individually but I did get a few "ok" photos of it along with other cars that were there. I hope you enjoy them. Make sure you click the Read More button below and take a look at this older mobile video of it by clicking here.

712WHP New Zealand Beast!

Today is a very special day for us here at StanceNation. You're looking at one of our favorite FC's of all time which belongs to our good friend Aaron out of New Zealand. We've admired this car for what seems like years now and with the help of our very talented friend Taryn Croucher we're finally able to show it off to rest of the world. Aaron has owned his 1988 Mazda RX7 FC3S for 5 years now though when he initially purchased it just looked nothing the way it does today. His goal was to build an FC RX7 like no other, and if you ask us he has done an awesome job at that. The plan was to build an aggressive street car that Aaron could take to the track an beat up on if he wanted to, and he has done just that. When asked how it feels to drive this thing his response is that it's like a "gokart on steroids". He says that it's a real handful to keep straight and that it gets your blood pumping thats for sure!

As you can tell from the photo above this thing is pretty damn intimidating. When it came time to work on the performance side of the car Aaron tells us that he would go through magazine after magazine cutting out all the pictures of parts he wanted and engine bay setups that he liked. He then slowly started collecting bits and pieces here and there and meeting fellow rotary enthusiasts to get learn as much about these legendary motors as he could. Aaron wanted big power, but at the same time he didn't want to jeopardize the reliability. Eventually he went to see Brent Curran (the best rotary engine builder in the country) who helped Aaron very much with advice and many other things.

Curran brother racing 20b bridgeport turbo block
tial 60mm wastegate
tial 50mm blow off valve
borg warner turbo
twin plate clutch
3 x 1000cc injector dynamic injectors
3 x 1600cc bosch injectors
custom intake manifold
custom exhaust manifold
5 inch front pipe to 4 inch exhaust
speed flow fittings through out whole car
custom oil cooler
griffin radiator
electric water pump
custom catch cans
4 inch intercooler piping
microtech ecu

When all was done, this New Zealand beast was able to produce 712HP at the wheels on 12psi of boost! Aarons comparison to a "gokart on steroids" sounds pretty accurate to us. Oh, just imagine the thrill..

After the performance aspect was "done", Aaron moved to the exterior. He tells us that he knew he wanted some kind of kit but it took him quite a long time to pick one out. When he finally did, he decided to run the almighty BN kit. He then realized that something was just missing from it. Eventually he decided that he wanted to go wide body which took even longer because finding the right front guards was a hassle. He went with the d-max guards but when it came to the rear ones he just couldn't find anything that looked right. His solution was to take the car to a local shop by the name of GT Refinisher and see what they can do for him. There, his buddy Grant suggested that they try and make some out of steel that way they could literally make them look exactly the way Aaron wanted.

BN body kit
d-max front fenders
custom steel rear fenders
custom rear wing
satin black paint

The finished product was awesome, to say the least. Make sure you hit the Read More button to check out many more photos and read what else this sinister FC has going for it.

Then it came time finding wheels for the car. As with many of us, there is just something about Work Equips that stands out. Aaron wanted a set since the first time he laid eyes on them but he could never find what he was specifically looking for. At the time Work wasn't making them either so that wasn't an option. Eventually he settled for brand new set of Work Meisters in 19x9.5 and 19x12. After running them for about a year he finally ran up on a set of Equips so he quickly made the move! His current wheel setup is 18x11 up front and 18x13 in the rear! It sits on D2 coilovers with completely custom toe arms, custom camber arms and of course custom Nolathane everything.

The interior is simple, just the way we like things. Aaron tells us thatHHS has always been a fan of the "raw" feel so there is absolutely no dash, no carpet, no speedometer gauge. Just a seat for the driver and passenger, a cage, and drivers gauges. He calls it the "perfect drivers cockpit"!

11 point roll cage
race seats
rjs harness
drift hand break
defi gauges
turbo smart eboost 2
wilwood pedal box
1500hp fuel setup
B&N line locker

Not sure about you but "perfect drivers cockpit" sounds spot on!

Aaron says that the best thing about this particular build is the people he has met along the way and all of the close friends he has gained. He has also learned that constantly buying cheap parts ends up costing more in the long run so if you're going to do something do it once & do it right. As far as plans go, you can expect to see this bad boy cruising the streets and "f@#$ing $#!7 up" at the track days. Long term plans include a new engine set up an modifying the steering, suspension, and lots of carbon fiber products. Big shout out to Aaron for everything as well as Taryn from iheartstance for hooking us up with these wonderful photos. Make sure you email us at snfeatures@gmail.com if you think you've got a ride worthy of StanceNation!

Say it ain't so!

This is literally a complete opposite of a car than the RX7 we shared with you yesterday. You're looking at a Toyota Vios (also known as Yaris in the states here) that's been slammed & fitted the right way! Want to take a guess at where this thing is from? Would you be surprised if we told you it was from Thailand? That's right, the same country that brought us all those slammed Accords & Camrys is back with an insanely aggressive Vios! Whether this is something you're feeling is your call of course, we're just trying to keep things fresh and open peoples minds to other things. Oh and yes, we're loving this!

One of the first things you'll notice is that the car seems much wider. That's because Gaphy (owner) widened all of the fenders to fit the massive 15x9 Volk TE's with -12 offset all around. Yes, we did just use the word "massive" for a 9" wide wheel because these things come with 7" stocks as far as we know, and much higher offset. As with most cars from Thailand this Vios is sitting on air suspension as well. Big ups to Gaphy for doing something different as well as our photographer Bezy for the awesome shots. Stay tuned for more rides out of Thailand and hit the Read More button for more photos.

The Nippon Beauty!

Over the last couple of weeks we've been exchanging emails with Nishiyan-San and despite the language barrier we were thankfully able to make this feature happen. As a matter of fact Nishiyan-San seemed very excited about it and sent us a few photos of his car that he took. According to Nishiayna-San, this bad boy started off as a Y33 Cedric though nowadays it's looking very much like a Y33 Gloria due to the front end conversion. It amazes us that just a few months ago we were randomly seeing this thing in event coverages and now we're friends with the owner and featuring his beautiful car on our site. Nishiyan-San is a regular StanceNation visitor and he will be reading your comments so make sure to drop a comment below and let him know what you think of his ride.

Right off the start we feel it's important to know that this Nissan is sitting static on a set of K-Break coilovers with 24k spring rate all around. One of the things we like a lot about Nishiyan is that he was able to find a "median" and apply it. Nowadays Japanese VIP sedans tend to either play it safe with the camber and fitment and keep it simple or go extreme and run -20 degrees of camber and radius the crap out of their fenders. We know that this may be "too much" negative camber for some of you but check out our previous Oni-camber posts and you'll change your mind. Check out the fitment in these pics!

VIP Car Japan

The car currently sits on SSR VF-1 wheels in 19x9.5 in the front and 19x10.5 in the rear with some ridiculously low offsets, -19 all around. Front tires are 215/35/19 while the rears are 235/35/19's! To give it that mind boggling posture Nishiyan-San radiused and widened all the fenders. 1cm wider up front with 5cm fender radiusing and 2cm wider in the rear with 7cm fender radiusing! As crazy as it sounds you could barely tell it though because it's done so well thanks to the guys from Garage Excellent! As always, please hit the Read More button below for more photos and let us know what you think in the comment box.

Exterior had quite a lot of work done to it actually but as mentioned before it's done extremely well. Front, side and rear features a custom K-break kit that was retrofitted and shortened. Shortened for obvious reasons, fender radiusing. Obviously it would hang so low that it would be impossible to move without tearing the kit off, though it still looks like that would happen! Little details make a pretty big difference to these guys so Nishiyan-San is running things like custom Mode Parfume fog lights, original Garage Excellent exhaust tips and more. We're also loving the Deep Peridot Mica Lexus GS460 paint that this thing is rocking. It almost has a "brown" look to it but when the sun shines the greens come out!

We gotta give it up to this man for building such a crazy car that managed to look so simple and clean! We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did, don't forget to drop us a comment below and let us know if you want to see more of these fine Japanese Sedans. Also, if you have a car that you think is worthy of StanceNation please email us at snfeatures@gmail.com and don't forget to hit up our forums and become a fan of us on Facebook! AutoCon 2011 Photo Coverage // Part 1

AutoCon was definitely one of the most anticipated car shows for the west coast in the recent months. With over 4,000 attendees, 500 cars and well over 25 vendors, there was something for everyone. Stance, Track, Exotics, Drifters, you name it, it was there. We actually had a couple different photographers attend the event so we will break the coverage in 2 or even 3 different posts over the next few days. Today however we will take a look at Gabriel's photos in no particular order. If you want to see more make sure you click the Read More button below. Big shout out to everyone associated with this awesome event.
