Let me tell you what I just realized.
My beloved car is definitely aging.
Yes, just like me.

Last week, even though the rear hatch was fully closed, an error message popped up saying it was open.
At the time, I simply closed it again, and the error disappeared.
I thought maybe it hadn’t shut properly.

Today, when I opened the hatch to clear the snow and took out my prized metal snow shovel—nicknamed Shining Scorpion—I noticed something.
Wait… was the hatch lock always like this?
Did it always have this hole?

Huh? There’s something inside…

What is this?
There are two pieces in there.
I picked them up to take a closer look.
They seem to be broken parts.
Just saying.


Judging by their shape, they were probably covers for the lock mechanism.
Just saying.
There are holes on both sides of the lock where they seem to have been attached.


But without a spring mechanism, they wouldn’t function as proper covers.
Just saying.
I don’t see any springs anywhere.
But I don’t have the energy to look for them right now.
I’m exhausted from all the snow removal.
I’ll search for the springs another time—maybe they were never there to begin with.
Just saying.
Wait…? Maybe they’re just fitted in place!?
Could it be that the springs aren’t needed at all!?
Oh well.
For now, I gently placed the broken parts back into their original holes.

お題　ポンコツへの道のり

今、分かったことを話そう。
我が愛車は確実に歳を重ねている。
そう。私と同じようにだ。

先週、リアハッチが閉まっているのにも関わらず、ハッチが開いているとエラーが出たんだ。
その時はハッチを閉め直してエラーは消えた。
半ドア状態なのかと思っていた。

今日、除雪しようとハッチを開けて自慢の金属製スノーショベル、愛称:シャイニングスコーピオンを取り出した時に気づいたんだ。
ハッチのロック部、こんなのだったっけ？？
こんな穴になってたっけ？？


あれ？？中に何か落ちてるぞ。
なんだこれは？
なんか2個落ちてるぞ。


私はその何かを取り出してみたんだ。
どうやら、割れた部品みたいだ。
しらんけど。



これ、ロック部の目隠しに使われてる蓋なんだろうな。
しらんけど。
形状的にそうだし、ロック部の左右にはまっていたと思われる穴がある。


でもこれ、バネで戻る仕組みにしないと目隠しにならないな。
しらんけど。
バネが見つからないぞ。
しかし私にはもう探す余力がない。
今日はとても疲れたんだ。（除雪で）
バネの捜索は今度にしよう。もしかしたら元から無いのかもしれない。
しらんけど。
いや？ただはまってるだけなのかも！？バネとかいらない部品か！？
まあいいや。
私はそっと、取り除いた部品を元の穴に戻しておいた。
