I guess I own another car, it was offered to me very cheaply and I couldn't stop myself from buying it. Does this happen to you? It happens to me a lot...

It's a Prelude, just the basic trim with Europe-only 2.0 16-valve engine, non-VTEC and 4-stud hubs. We did get the more powerful ones, you can tell because they have 5-stud hubs.

I always liked the look of this generation of Prelude. This one has lowered springs so it drives well, but the bottom of the car keeps catching on speed bumps. The wheels are just some cheap UK ones, they look OK but I would prefer Honda ones.

Not sure what I plan to do with this car yet, I do need to do a few things with it first. I'll take some better pictures later.

My friend's Liteace is nearly ready to drive.

He got another for spare parts. He's used the leaf springs and rear axle already!

I'm looking forward to driving it. I want a van now...

The picture I've used is the Nissan Cherry Europe GTi he owns (the N12 Pulsar was called Cherry in the UK). It looks like the N12, but really it's the "920" made in Italy by Alfa Romeo. They produced versions with Nissan badges and Alfa Romeo badges, but they're the same car.

In the early '80s, you could go to a UK Nissan dealer and buy a "Cherry" (made in Japan) or the "Cherry Europe" (made in Italy using 20% parts from Japan, including the body panels). It's confusing, isn't it? Most people wanted the genuine Nissan product.

My friend with the Liteace was working in a nearby city and saw a BF 323 for sale. He remembered the street, so we went to look at it.

He said it was the later type of mine, on an E-plate (registration beginning with E means Aug '87 to Jul '88). 5-door model. We got there and it was the same one I had seen previously in another town, back in July.



There was a phone number but no price, I tried calling the number but it was quite late so nobody answered. But I found it for sale on a used car sales website later.



The price is £995 (¥175,000). It's the 1.5 GLX and the mileage is very low, with a lot of paperwork to prove it is genuine. I think it's probably worth that, but I'd rather pay less. I was hoping for about £300-400, but the car is a lot better than I expected.

I'm thinking about getting a motorbike. Most of my journeys are local and it would be good to have a bike sometimes. I've never had one before, so I'd need to get a bike licence.

My requirements would be for something with at least 65km/h top speed, with gears, quite easy to ride, cheap! And old!

I was thinking of the Honda Super Cub C70 or C90 from around the mid-'80s. I'm not so sure yet, but I like this idea so far. We will see!
