My JPE is very stable due to clutch troubles and fuel tank leakage were fixed, I was thinking. Maybe I'm not sure, this was flagged for the turning points. An ECU of the JPE' uses an EMS EM-70 and communication between an EMS and a PC couldn't be successful. So I retry to find out the cause of communication error from today morning.


LEDs on LAN port couldn't turn on or/and flashing even the EMS connect to the PC. LAN port had orange LED and green LED, both of LED didn't change condition.


Of cause if I want to check the status the LEDs, should open a scuttle. So situation doesn't change I took off the EM-70 from the JPE and open cover check the PCB, so all IC devices are surface solder with this normally couldn't replace broken IC device if I could find it. Maybe EMS EM-70 in LAN communication function is malfunctioning.

And malfunction IC is surface solder therefore, replacement of IC device isn't easy for me. What can I next step?


Repair of the EMS by maker in Austraria. But maker is likely bankruptcy because company name changes on the web site. So supplement and the after service will be confused in the future. Although, repair of the EMS is a lower burden than maker change, but continuously for maker support is unclealy. Think like that, this is chance of change an ECU maker to anther company isn't this?

I'm in hesitate for exchanging other ECU maker.

昨日EMSをリセットする気持ちもありバッテリーのマイナス端子を外していました。そこで朝イチというには少し遅めですが、EMSとPCの通信を確認したところNGでした。またLANポートについているグリーンとオレンジのLEDの点灯具合も確認したけど、両方消灯しているっぽく見えます。
通常LANポートについているLEDのオレンジがデータを送受信しているときに点灯し、グリーンはネットワークに正常に接続され、使用可能な状態の時に点灯する仕様です。それが両方ともついていないってことはEMS内の基盤の通信関連のデバイスに不具合がある可能性が高いと判断し、EMSを取り外し状態を確認しました。

恐らくKSZ8851SNLがイーサネットコントロール用の半導体素子だと思いますが、面付けハンダされており私の腕では素子交換は無理と判断しました。

Ckさんの話ではモノをオーストラリアに送って修理してもらうことも恐らく可能ということでしたが、EMSっていう会社を調べると日本ではルート６というところが代理店だったみたいだけど、今はクイックエンジニアリングが代理店をしているみたいです。クイックエンジニアリングのホームページを見るとEM-80の写真が掲載されていますが、EM-70もサポートしているのか不明です。
ましてやオーストラリアの本社のホームページが中国系企業のホームページに変わっており、一体どうなっているのか不明です。

そんな状態なのでEMSを修理しても今後のサポートということでは信用できないんですよね。思い切って違うECUに変えるか。
