Law faculty students receive classes in the Department of Education of the Department of Literature.
As a law student, I took an education class.
The professor of education asked me curiously.
"Why do law students take education classes?"
to answer
"I read Jean-Jacquesaw's 'Emile.'I was so moved. So I wanted to know what kind of education was being taught and what kind of education was being received by the people who were aiming for."
Then the professor asked.
"I heard that students in the law department are reading 'Emile,' but have you read 'Emile' for those who specialize in education?"
Female students (most of them chose education) did not reply.
The professor said in a fit of rage,
"What does it mean that you, who are experts in education, aren't reading 'Emile' when a law student is reading 'Emile'?"I must read Emil."
Education in Japan is miserable. Before the war, teachers practiced military education in accordance with their superiors. After World War II, uneducated teachers often say things like, "Because the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology talks," "because there are guidelines for learning," and "because of school order."
When will education be given from the perspective of "human" and "child"?
In Japan, there has never been a human being, and we cannot help but feel that way when we look at history.
