お願いして安くしてもらえるのは常連さんの良い客だからではないでしょうか？

シンガポールに旅行した際、
タクシーには乗りましたが
料金の差は気付きませんでした。

日本のタクシー料金に比べても
安価だとは思いましたが（笑）

シンガポールは物価が比較的に安く、タクシは特に安く、３０分高速道路を走って僅か１０００円くらいで済みました。

少し超過料金がかかっても安いですね♪

タクシー料金の設定、初めは複雑だと思いましたが、基本料金が安いので、非常に理にかなってうまくできていると思います。

Expensive charging system. it is based on certain hours for extras charges (35% for peak hours, 50% after midnight) and it is difficult for you to get a taxi during non-peak hours as the taxis would go "hide" and wait for the peak hours to come as they could collect more fare.

They should do a flat charging fee across the board which is good for both the taxi drivers and passengers.

When I talked to a taxi driver in Sin, he said that he has no holidays in a week, he needs to work all days for his life. In Japan, during the day time, there is a long taxi line, a lot of taxis are waiting passengers at a taxi stand. Payment syste for taxi driver is different between Japan and Sin. Japanese draivers will get a half of fares he earned. In Sin, most of draivers uses rental taxi with his friend and shares the car. He pays petro byhimself. It's interesting to talk with a taxi driver, most of them like to talk.
