Valve Cover Replacement & More [Part 2]

With the new spark plugs installed, the valve covers are now both removed. The flange surface is then cleaned completely & any oil leakage in the area of the cylinder head is thoroughly cleaned.

New OEM seal gasket is then fitted to the new valve covers & a small amount of fresh oil is applied to the tube seals for ease of installation.

Threebond 1215 liquid gasket is then applied to the front corners.

Both covers are then carefully fitted & bolts torqued down in pattern as per the FSM.

New OEM intake gasket installed.

Whilst there is still room to work, the cam sensors are now replaced at the rear of the cylinder heads for the VQ25DE.

New & old.

The coolant temp sensor is also replaced at the rear of the cylinder head.
