Not only those for the doors but those for the lid are thick parts. Touran is the same.

A friend of mine told some Lexus vehicles only as for Toyota. Even Crown uses the pressed parts.

This might be the philosophy of European vehicle company, not focused on only the cost reduction. (safety, rigidity, for driving autobahn)
