『 MAKIA RACING 』 なるものが立ち上げられ、キミ・ライコネンと契約した。

そして同時に、現役F1ドライバー、キミ・ライコネンと契約したと発表。

しかし、ライコネンは来季のロータスとの契約にサインしていない。

このような茶番劇は、今季彼らのプロモーション手法として多く見られた。

つまり、これは暗に、ライコネンを通してロータスとMAKIAがスポンサーシップ契約を交わしたことを意味する。

それはライコネンが来季もロータスに留まるということだ！
