Seven reflective surfaces in different size reveals that Rokkor 45mm/f2.8 forms some similar triplet type of lens design like an old Elmar 50mm/f3.5 and Carl Zeiss Tessar 45mm/f2.8 though posterior group is glued. Remembering my good days with old cars, Familia Rotary Coupe, Skyline GC10 and Air-cooled Beetle 1200, I enjoyed not automatic mission but manual mission. Something in my mind that had been buried for a long time woke up as a matter of fact. I felt like I am much younger as I imagine. So, I determined to keep this vehicle at hand from now. Problem is the suspension construction that had been modified so heavily, shorter and hard springs are installed, in blue painted prevailing in the field. According to the modification, 25mm low-down, bump-rubber in yellow was cut away with irreversible attitude.

As my dark mind, I ordered the new parts at over 5,000 yen.

Muscle work for suspension spring replacement would be performed this end of the week. Complicated total toe adjustment including establishing Zero thrust is waiting, aha miserable!

Yaris Z is disappearing and Civic RS is replacing. Spoon spring is too hard to endure for me, that would be returned into genuine parts soon. Remembering manual transmission that I experienced, lateral moving way of shifting "H" patterns were free, Familia Rotary Coupe and Air-cooled Beetle 1200. Consequently, I felt some resisting feeling on the construction of the transmission in Civic RS, the neutral sifting position is guided on the middle position between 3ird and 4th. So, I modified a bit by moving the end of returning spring position resulting in reducing the resisting power half strength. No complicated disassembling the trans axle itself, just the base portion modification was enough. Unnecessary muscle work done every shifting motion was reduced fairly, considerable improvement was observed as a matter of fact. As my pleasant matter, strut tower and bulkhead are connected mechanically, so firm construction. Unpleasant noise in cold start phase is discerned on the VTC actuator portion though rubber cover is applied.

As a matter of surprise, Blow-by gas combustion hose was not connected, between cum-cover and intake air way after air flow meter. Judging from the clump mark on the hose, so long period of time this condition was left undone. Deeper consideration led me the conclusion that measuring mal air volume imparting less air flow because of opened blow-by gas hose. Also, blow-by oil mist gas had been scattered in the engine room.

I'll come to know how the fuel consumption would be, better or not. Any way, different signal from the air flow meter would any transition to ECU. Former mischievous person did unusual attitude?
