シルビア 復活か「ベイビーZ」か…日産の新型ライトウェイトスポーツ

日産のグローバル戦略車として開発が噂される、新型FFライトウェイト・スポーツカーの情報が欧州から届いた。

レポートによれば、三菱を事実上傘下に収めた日産は、1000ccクラスの2ドア・コンパクトスポーツクーペの開発をスタートさせていると言う。

レンダリングCGを見ると、2014年デトロイトモーターショーで公開された、「スポーツセダンコンセプト」から、インスピレーションを得たフロントエンドが見て取れる。

また、スピード感のあるプレスライン、サイドへ回り込むリアコンビランプなど、躍動感があり、「ベイビーZ」と言えそうだ。

パワートレインには、三菱製エンジンが予想されており、2018年後半のワールドプレミアを目指すと言う。

Man Killed in Santa Ana Hit-and-Run Crash: Police Seek Public’s Help Finding Driver

A 54-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Santa Ana early Monday and police are asking for the public's help identifying the driver that left the scene, officials said.

The incident was reported about 5:50 a.m. in the 2600 block of West First Street, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.

The man was struck by what is believed to be a white Toyota Tacoma as he was crossing the street and the driver of the pickup did not stop.

Surveillance video captured the truck as it was turning at an intersection and the vehicle appeared to have front-end damage.

Investigator Laure Bao said that the driver wouldn’t have been at fault in the crash, but since he or she fled the scene, they may face hit-and-run charges.

“We’re all human, we all have different reactions to traffic collisions, but you need to do what’s right and turn yourself in,” the investigator said.

The victim lived in a half-way house in the area, Bao said. He was eventually identified as John Redman.
