All the old fixed focal length lenses having been kept while the Silver Salt Film period have modified to adopt into Canon EOS Digital SLR body. Every camera company has developed many zoom lenses for the actual convenience in line with the times, but I insist on my own concept that I use only the fixed focal lenses which are so individual promptly. Drag link assembly was removed from VW 1302 Super Beetle for the maintenance after 2 years use, because some lack of lubricant caused backlash a bit between drag link main shaft and case. Harder with much viscosity grease was applied there and reassembled installing on original body position. The steering stability has increased with such trifle maintenance at all. Ester base film simms, 0,2mm thickness, were placed on upper and surface of the case for the purpose both to seal the grease inside and to eliminate the influence of the lateral stroke of the main shaft in the case.

EBC Fujinon 28/3,5 was disassembled in parts to remove sticky old lubricant in iris control ring and iris module inside, also undesirable mold should be removed in the lens inside at the same time. As usual, metal lens case make it possible to perform periodical maintenance as to original condition. Uninvited guest to the lens mechanism often appears in the most inconvenient portions unfavorably. Lens overhauling procedure remind me of special techniques and memories that I had forgotten.
Methyl alcohol-Ether mixture solution would be used for lens surface cleaning, the ration is 3:7 though factory engineer recommends 4:6, the reason is the humidity in the room air, the solution is called as Ether. It is often the case that the lens case accuracy is not enough as to affect the assembly tolerance, thin layer of adjusting sim is put around the round surface to compensate the unnecessary space to establish the centricity of the lens piece. As the lens pieces themselves are finished well promptly, this kind of tiresome adjusting when re-assembled is effective to obtain the designed original performance. Lens outer round surface and the supporting case should be fit well like piston and cylinder of the motor of mobiles. The lens for large format is engineered so especially those made in former West Germany.

Over 10 years used Canon EOS 10D digital format body might be ended it's life, because the pushing button of lens locking has gone away. As mentioned yesterday, Canon 7D would be the best choice for me, because 5D Mk3 might be a best one but expensive for just enjoying as a amateur's hobby nor the lack of finder qualities in Kiss model and 6D are not acceptable, too much distortion feeling vomiting in seasick.
Camera finder quality an indispensable requirement for me as I recommend Leica M model M3, no later model are incomparable with it. The fact would be cleared if they were disassemble in parts. It took me full one day to disassemble it as a periodical overhaul procedure and to reassemble as a original construction including shutter speed and range finder calibration.
