New TOYOTA Auris

Reduction of parts number especially moving parts is one of the way to reduce a possibility of machine failure and the same thing is said on a passenger's car. From that standing point of view, some complex and subtle turbine application on the motor and complicated trans-axle control by oil pressure relying on computer program might be a disadvantage?
This is why I cannot step forward to new VW Golf type 7 model already announced in Germany. On the other hand, TOYOTA has started new Auris, C segment model with conventional equipment without any turbine supercharging system nor DSG trans-axle like an European new trans-axle technology. Equipped Continuous Velocity Transfer system has much progressed compared with the same former model, I'm interested in that model for replacing with B-Vectra, reduction of fuel consumption is twice as Vectra according to their information. Additionally, the rear axle construction has changed into double wishbone type from poor torsion beam axle design for 1800 cc models. So, now one of my desire to secure is New Auris 1800G model.

Miscellaneous

We should know about Old Man Winter chill of Asian Continent, once it ruined Napoleon's army and Hitler's western front at all. Several Japanese tourists to the Great Wall of China have fallen victims there yesterday. The tour officials must have made little of the fear for sudden changes in the weather condition. But I wonder why in China with which county we are not getting well because of National border line at Senkaku Islands and why there with some changeable severe weather condition? Sight seeing event is such an exchanging one for a life?

Long touring in BC7 SUBARU Legacy LSi US model proved that the automobile keeping by myself as long as 20 years with servicing and maintaining by DIY is valid as my favorite item enough to continue from now, if the difficult maintenance is required, the rear transfer clutch plates replacement. This kind of servicing on a specific automatic trans-axle invite some special technology backed upped by SUBARU engineer, but I have enough support to know the information about a difficult works. So, I must do that in case of mechanically critical faults, otherwise I would be suffered from some regret that I escape away to my tent avoiding hard works, I must regard myself as a coward and timid person. I imagine that disassembling the rear part of trans-axle would be a great ordeal that I have never experienced under the condition without lifting system like any dealers always have, but I have enough brave to do that in my garage as usual.
As I digested painting works on the bonnet area of XH200 OPEL B-Vectra(not so good result), residual maintenance is only for BC7 as mentioned.
The driven clutch plates, 31589AA150 must be ordered again, because the alternative parts 31589AA030 have arrived as 3 pieces.

Tight corner braking phenomena

Tight corner braking phenomenaEven a strange tight corner braking phenomena did not occur while 200 km driving to North Western part of Hyogo Pref. today. This phenomena is one of an inevitable chronic disease for SUBARU JATCO Active Torque Split automatic trans-axle after over 100,000 km use occurring on rear transfer clutch system. The mentioned inconvenience is brought by the stepped wear in clutch bell's inner part where being hit repeated by drive clutch with outer nails. To tell the the truth, the wiring in the engine room for cancelling rear transfer solenoid is done to the cabin and the switch is prepared near the meter cluster, so all wheel driving mechanism is controlled while driving on the road.
Deeper consideration on the mechanical construction of the rear transfer set just behind the trans-axle led me to have got it that the switching on and off several times while driving might make the sharp corner of stepped wear round and slippy to recover original axial movement of clutch plates, drive and driven ones, 10 pieces in total. This kind of attempt might have proved successful to recover the original condition? Anyway, now no strange phenomena happens at all? Though all the replacement parts have arrived at my hand, I decided wait and see for the time being.

Trifle but important

Trifle but importantEvery material has it's own resonant frequency and an automobile has uncountable vibration sources in operating condition. As some strange noise was discerned from inside of dashboard on just in front of steering column, checked the original source where it comes. However carefully I might seek pealing out speaker cover and speaker, fuse cover and meter cover, I couldn't identify the origin of the clicking noise at all. Remembering the past experience over 30 years ago when I was keeping Skyline E211, same kind of noise came from bonnet hinge, I doubted the cause might be from the engine room, then finally found out the origin, plastic cover for checking body number that is required by Legal Inspection every two years. Just twisting by finger power giving some distortion to keep it tight in position could solve the chronic problem.

It is often the case that any engineering plastic tiny parts shrink and distort after as long as over 10 years use, especially it happens in high temperature engine room. German made automobiles have tendency to get worse for plastic parts because of hotter motor combustion compared with Japanese one that might be brought by the difference of designing concept of motors, or that of plastic material quality?
Inconvenience found in NCP10 TOYOTA Vits, small but being suffered from I nervous hitting noise, that is strange hitting and clicking noise from drive shaft needle roller bearing comes up periodically, but wheel rotation or just changing the relations of wheel setting 180 degree eliminates the noise, how come? There must be some distortion on the wheel tracking or ill fitting between the wheel and tire positions? Anyway it is true that the noise is influenced by the external factor while actual use. The air filter for intake air of the motor has replaced as a periodical replacement parts.
I feel satisfied with the sophisticated TOYOTA's technology developing newer automobiles to have used a global strategic vehicle Vitz 1300 RS especially after the adjustment of axle constructive geometry and wheel alignment as exactly the same as the value mentioned in the maintenance manual. Not a little efforts were required to establish the alignment, because some loosening of sub-frame holding bolts for repositioning was obliged to correct the existing setback on frontal axle construction. Additionally, it's rear axle design based on torsion beam axle concept made it impossible to establish "Zero thrust", because the axle hinge bushes had many holes for enough compliance to support the anterior strong shock from the ground. Movable and deformable physical property here are very inconvenient for both correcting and establishing the precise axle alignment.
Though I started to learn and study about an automobile's constructions, the latter model NCP10 TOYOTA Vitz gives me tremendous information on the sophistication on the technology of the company again. From my standing point of view as one of a scientist, interpreting the intents of the designers and engineers of the production company is too interesting to stop to continue.
2 liquid type Clear Urethane coating procedure on the ugly bonnet of XH200 OPEL B-Vectra would be performed today, my skill in splay painting would be up this time?

US scandals

Unpleasant scandals occur in Okinawa by US soldiers one after another these days. It's an inconvenient situation for US Military Force also under the conditions of introducing new cargo planes "MV-22 Ospray" to Japan. Probably, US off-duty soldiers must be misunderstanding perception walking around out of the base camp cities supported by the specially proved right of extraterritoriality and they can do anything they want if the attitude might be in out-low behavior, because they would not be punished by Japanese country low. Anyway, US should regard us as an inferior nation just the same as twits by the Commander in chief occupation forces, Douglas MacArthur, "Japan is poor fourth grade nation, US soldiers should not be killed by this low level people!", said at Atsugi Military Air port for first landing of occupied Japan. SOFA(Status Of Forces Agreement) has been continued since that time, unconditional surrender of Japanese Military Force 68 years ago.
Even now the power balance is kept unchanged militarily and economically with no arguments by Japanese people, because there must be some sweeter condition to keep this relationship of indecision like so to speak "Neat".
Earthquake disaster containing radiation exposure, Insolvency, Diet does not go well, unemployment and Debt finance are the same as condition of National poverty, no good news are discerned on earth.
Line shape clouds are observed on the weather map today, so this winter must be colder for the people with no good memories.
