EFERN on EOS


The first generation Elmar 135/4,5(EFERN without range finder coupling, 5259 production in total between 1931 and 1936) mounted in old Minolta MD barrel has successfully modified to adopt on Canon EOS Digital body this evening. APS-C format create image area as if 150mm or 180mm focal length lens logically. It has never imagined to survive on digital imaging element through SLR system, because it didn't have any accurate way to focus on the film in the condition of no connection with range finder coupling. Triplet without coating lens element has something that any recent multi-coated ones do not possesses. Both contrast and sharpness might be inferior to state-of-art, but still this EFERN has different performance of reproducibility that I cannot ignore at all. Minimum number of lens element and direct ray pass might be the reason, or some residual aberration? Photoshop soft wear would compensate those disadvantages in this old lens enough, it means that some reproduction of the real sense of vivid reality. The best answer of lens element designing obtained by sophisticated computer method does not always show the best way of it. Aspherical surface lens element and Apo-chromat color corrections also do not always produce the best. Arrival point is invisible if there is no index to be arrived.
Lens designing technology requires some outstanding capability by an Artisan lived golden ages tens years ago. Resolving power and contrast are not the main subject as wining one shows in their catalog. A photo paste-like picture is not in my eyesight at all if it is produced by some expensive aspherical lens installed in huge zoom barrel.

Parts replacement

Parts replacement
I was a hard worker yesterday getting lost in an automobile maintenance, knuckle arm ball joint boots in VW 1302 Super Beetle and frontal brake pad in NCP10 TOYOTA Vitz were performed as replacement works.
Because the steering linkage construction had been replaced about 2 years ago, the ball joint boots did not last me for the period, Chrome molybdenum grease added later might have contained some aggressive factor against the rubber material. Excessive movement, outside design performance like some torsional stress might be a reason, so clumping of both ends of the boots is not always convenient for the violent movements, shifting side open design is desirable here I suggest.

As for prepared genuine parts for NCP10 TOYOTA Vitz used 60,000km, uneven wear of frontal brake pad between out and in and leading and trailing invites unpleasant brake pedal touch, probably caused by squeezing twist of caliper piston in the cylinder. So, in case of oblique wear, it's better to replace brake pad into new one that has enough thickness to return the piston in adequate position if residual part might be observed on used pad.

Persimmons in my villa garden has reduced in number this year, around 10 pieces, fertilizer shortage might be a reason. Landscaper coming soon would be a good counselor on earth.

Circulation

Pruning in the garden of my villa in the mountain would be performed today, so must I participate in the work as a owner. Trimming on every big trees should be done utmost just before the verge of withering in order to postpone the next opportunity for pruning. Consequently, I would stay there all day long digesting some automobile maintenance and organizing warehouse.

6 months have passed after moving our laboratory to new place and 3 months do after introducing a computer system in our general organization of information. Things are going well and all favorable to every direction, purchase, customer management and revenue. Very small increase in my son's curiosity to our business is observed these days, some aggressiveness a little.

My car hobby life for more than 10 years should be reduced by means of deserting a few of my keeping ones, the time is come so I feel. All of them have good performance as their own original condition, this is why am I at a loss which one to throw away?

Some stretching exercises in the area of border movement of my shoulder has removed stiffness of the right side neck this morning, that has been lasting as long as half a year, feel I just happy and relieved. I have re-realized the importance of good body liquid circulation like blood, lymph and electrolyte between cells, because of liquid circulation we can live. Metabolic disorders would bring regressive change in cell revel like atrophy, degeneration and finally necrosis, so adequate exercise is indispensable for human being.
My recent research has proved that knee joint pain has much to do with the lack of liquid circulation especially in Semimembranosus and Semitendinosus muscles and biceps femoris.

Remembering the day before yesterday, I could be reconciled with old intimate client, I thought it impossible, there was no way to find out a clue to re-communicate with them except some approach to us, anyway it was the best affair after the movement of our laboratory. Don't have any sharp corners with another person, go just round, gentle and soft. "Everyone does not cry!" is our way.
