Minolta MD Macro-Rokkor 100/4 close up lens has modified to adopt onto Canon EOS Digital format body successfully. The basic problem on shorter flange back, Minolta SLR 43,5 mm and Canon EOS 44,0 mm has solved without applying any additional optical element utilizing innate infinity adjustment construction for factory production setting mechanism.

Removing rubber focusing ring, there exist three rings, infinity stopper ring, helicoid ring and focusing ring from the anterior order. And they are fixed together just by adhesive binyl tape around, so the procedure for setting the infinity position is re-pasting an original tape there again, no need to disassemble the lens barrel from frontal direction, this adjusting construction mechanism is invited only for Minolta Macro lenses like shorter 50 mm.

Now, this deserted marvelous and excellent Minolta MD Macro-Rokkor 100/2,8 lens because of shorter flange back value of 43,5 mm has survived in this digital age again!

I want to show how to adopt Minolta MD lens onto Canon EOS mount here. Black ling is from an EOS body cap and a metal ring right side is from Canon EOS body that is utilized as a fixing jig.

The original Minolta SLR bayonet nail 3 in total was ground 0,7 mm avoiding interference to Canon body mirror box upper and lower portions shown as golden colored.

The connection between bayonets are performed with auto-polymerizing resin material and resin-metal-curing acrylic-bond adhesive.
As for the vulnerability of engineering plastic bayonet nails, it is enough for amateur use and it is convenient to be breakable here in case of falling accident, because the stress release would be done here avoiding flange distortion on the camera body.

Leitz Macro-Elmarit 60/2,8 arrived at my hand yesterday, I'm going to enjoy this marvelous lens tomorrow in the mountain shooting landscapes of the early winter. The newest model was sent to me with all plus head screws application on bayonet mount piece and without dowel knock pins for hood mounting. Also, Leitz-R Canon EOS mounting adapter ring is utilized to adopt on Digital format image, no modification is necessary like Minolta MC and MD lenses I did. One of my former favorite hobby while the Silver Salt film period comes up again on this Digital age.

Unusual traffic accident yesterday morning prevented me from writing about the maintenance on my villa garden performed the day before yesterday. Professional garden maintainers had cleaned the dilapidated places so good as if it looks completely a different one. A tough job was done handily in a day. This villa has played a good part of my life and the time is come to give it up to change my own life style.
