Polyester Glass Fiber

Polyester Glass FiberThanks to the application of Polyester Glass Fiber processing on the stabilizer for YOSHIOKA Sunday Alpha 50, my initial purposes to reinforce and to keep flatness were established, though some weight increase might happened, torsional deflection strength has been increased enough to endure the forces while drawing maneuvers. Bad memory of vulnerable Flying-Tail construction leading to complete destruction in YOSHIOKA Pegasus Acro might obliged me to do that. Anyway, PGF reinforcement in balsa wood construction is very effective to model airplane in necessary portions such as engine mounting construction and wing connecting surfaces. Lighter weight and enough strength are the conflicting issues at all even in the actual airplanes, recent accidents happened on me forced to chose the latter item, as a matter of fact. Following the saying by Mr. Yojiro Akiba, not a single anxiety in F3A model airplane should not be existed.

I just remembered the 3 bad items.

1. Unreliable Radio

2. Bad habit airplane

3. Motor that has stopping tendency

OS 55 AX motor

OS 55 AX motorIt was mentioned before that OS 55 AX motor was obtained in NIB condition, I imagined to treat this one so carefully as to keep maximum power and the longest life. As we know the initial stage of operation in break-in step is very important to finish up all the moving parts reducing slipping resistor utmost, avoiding unnecessary wear causing backlash. In another words, in the motor construction, all the slipping surfaces should be coated with adequate backlash spaces. Of course, the most important is the finishing work of Piston and Cylinder especially they have no piston ring but ABC or ABN interrelationships. OS 55 AX has ABN construction with marvelous finish supported their long lasting technology.
In order to reduce the slipping heat on moving parts such as piston to piston pin, big & small ends of connecting rod, operative road by setting smaller propeller is effective. Another way for this purpose is reduction of compression pressure by inserting a gasket between cylinder and cylinder head. 3 pieces of 0,30 mm thickness aluminum gasket would be prepared and be removed one by one according to the stage of finishing, but for this motor a few of them might be remained, because the operating noise is too high and too noisy as to make me feel uncomfortable.
A pressure nipple would be set on ordinary portion just behind the front crank shaft supporting bearing for YS fuel pressurized regulating system as usual.
UTube shows that Curare 60 is easily pulled by OS 55 AX motor, so it must be possible to draw F3A maneuver patterns relatively easily by means of YOSHIOKA Sunday Alpha 50.

A work yesterday

A work yesterdayThe work on a radio control model airplane was relatively pretty yesterday.
Main wing center Polyester Glass Fiber enforcement, stabilizer enforcement were performed. Sandwich construction with 2mm thickness soft balsa invited distortion however hard I might try to correct into straight, soon after a while venting phenomena could not be eliminated as a matter of fact, this is why I applied the reinforcement and keep it on flat standard plane till polymerization would be over, for 2 or 3 days.
I could bid OS 55 AX motor at cheaper price from Yahoo auction, then the regulation in Cassiopeia Stunt Competition could be covered with this motor.
Without a tuned pipe, this one would pull up enough into the sky possibly drawing F3A maneuver patterns with YOSHIOKA Sunday Alpha 50.
Obtaining OS 55 motor, distinctive motivation to record some favorable result in the contest comes out in my mind.
As the meeting would be held in Autumn, somewhere not decided yet, my training on fingers would be in time for D-Day.

Favorable weather condition

Revolution of the seasons into good condition for working in my place makes me do much tasks these days.
Final finish of MK Star 06 would be done today for the preparation to take part in the Old Timer & Golden Age Meeting holding the 8th Sunday in April at Uji Kyoto.
Glass fiber cloth processing with Polyester emulsion, tail stabilizer's hinge groove forming and detailed works on Sunday Alpha 50 would be done.

In addition, brake system overhauling procedure on Super Beetle might be proceeded if possible. Thanks to some desperate effort to adjust mixture control screw on Solex 34 PICT3, 1600cc AD motor is in fussy condition including cold starting scenery.
After the brake work, wheel alignment and axle constructive geometry setting are waiting as a matter of fact, they should be digested before the hottest season.

Computer system in TOYOTA Caldina AZT241W

Supplementary charging following a circuit cutting caused rough idling condition in TOYOTA Caldina AZT241W model. But, a few kilometer running recovered stable idling.
Immediately after that, such kind of inconvenience, several countermeasures came up in my mind, also remembered I the abominable passed when I was a owner of OPEL B-Vectra which had been a recognition of disorder.
If the trouble is brought by irreversible disorder of main parts, motor itself, trans-axle or main computer system.
Some of the sensor might be the reason, such as Crank angle sensor, air flow sensor or O2 sensor.
Some capacitor might have puncture problem in the main computer or trans-axle one. Not a few memory on B-Vectra reminded me in my memory.
Driving on my way home, the idle inconvenience became disappeared gradually, and when I come to the half way home, the anxious phenomena was wiped away like nothing happened.
Probably I guess that the initialized computer system must have acquired the circumstantial conditional information and it had settled in the most favorable situation, it took several minutes to study new atmospheric condition under actual driven phase.
My anxiety immediately after connecting the charged car battery has eliminated thoroughly. My experience was a really some cold sweat at all.
