In spite of the hottest Summer season I determined to go out for two days trip with 60-300mm zoom lens. Because I will go up to the Nunobiki mountain on this Thursday for night view shooting utilizing this lens, least experience must be compensated in few days. 750gr weight makes me hesitate to carry with me, but I must convince myself for the reason that the weight is the same as Leica M3 body that I had been used to for long time. Though I have been suffered from sharp pain in right thumb finger muscles at some specific angle use, whip myself on my hip and I will do my best.

I had an indispensable opportunity to participate in the lecture hold by Mr. Kyosuke Sasaki who is famous for extraordinary technology in shooting Buddha Statue reinforced by his long experience as a professional Nara National museum stuff member. His lecture course was held at Mainichi Culture Center at Umeda Osaka this afternoon, it was a precious time for me. He explained so precisely as I desire about specific technology with some big objects as high as 10m. I imagined that it must have been required, a tall stepladder and hi-position lighting equipment, in order to keep the necessary shooting position and angle, and I was right at all. He also declared that the best care for keeping safety was the first, and he had no accident while shooting. The more impressive result, the more complaisant method conforming the theory if it is exaggerated. He is paying attention to the light source, it's direction, strength and composition.
He also said, best care should be payed on the lighting of neck of the Statue, seperation of head and body by darkness is not recommended as a work of both Art and just recording. His work is firmly assisted by his long lasting history since Silver Salt Film period with large format shooting, though lighting method is improved and sophisticated.

Cicadas start to cry this morning for the first time this year that makes me feel we went into the hottest Summer season, hearing stimulation is more effective to realize the situation.

It must include narrative drama that anyone can immediately understand without explanation.
Though I declared as if I have realized all, pretending I can do all, I just come to the level to see how difficult it will be to master the requirement. My own endeavor will start now with sweat on my brow.

Thunder is roaring from middle of the night, it was so strongly sounded in the daytime yesterday in combination with very heavy rain.

This is why my Beetle backtracked in this season. Though relatively least opportunity as it is, early in the morning and after Sunset are the available times.

Well designed hi-performance lens and large image sensor with soft wear make it possible to produce fine picture like a Botanical drawn picture if checked closer. Then how about the resolution power of human eyes? Is it an indispensable requirement, Fine-tuned reproduction if the object is checked from a distance? Large size pic is observed from a distance?
Sophisticated equipment does not always produce sophisticated work.
