One of the most favorite Leica format lens is M Summilux 50mm/1.4-2nd generation designed by Dr. Walter Mandler specialized in Leitz Canada GMBH in Midland Ontario. I had been an user of this superb lens on M3 model half a century ago with the best contentment.

Deeper consideration led me to the conclusion that Re-installation of Summilux 50mm front lens unit into another 50mm SLR lens barrel.
Hexanon AR 52mm/1.8 was selected as a donor judging from a ease for modification, rotating helicoide ring travelling angle was adjusted to gain more close-up capability till 380mm. Fixing the lens unit at infinity position with no axis inclination was the hardest task with desperate effort. No modification such as grinding is done on Summilux at all, barrel adjustment only, so Summilux would be re-set on the original genuine barrel immediately.
Leica M-Summilux 50mm/1.4 -2nd generation takes a picture with 380mm close-up distance, iris closing condition with brighter EVF and focusing under 10 times enlarging magnification , just Fantastic!

I made up shooting device utilizing old Digital Single Lens camera SONY Nex5 & SmallRig frame. As we know LCD in back surface cannot be recognized to focus in Manual mode, so EVF is required as a matter of fact. Then how about setting magnifying loupe covering all the area? Remember that the idea came up in my mind before the presentation by Sigma FP model. Though the use of SONY Nex5 had been limited only for labo room, once deserted small one survived as a favorite device as a matter of fact. By the way, the position of the eyepiece is adjusted antero-posteriorly to meet with my own Diopter minus 3. Handy with lighter weight is the advantage though anti-camerashake mechanism is not equipped in it. Most of the location, the camera shake performance is inhibited because of mechanical tripod invitation. Client does not agree with any transparencies containing camera shake phenomena. Deception does not work in the Digital Period of Time.
