Steve Jobs died. After the news I realized how he came into my daily life. All I use not only personal computers but after Click, drug and drop and trash icon etc are his legacy. The road Apple and he came on was never flat. Their great success like iPod, iPhone and iPad, was on his later years. Before that I didn't pay attention to them. But in recent years, I sometimes happen to hear his very impressive words in a magazine or book. I want to quote,
"You've got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle."
"For the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: "If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?" And whenever the answer has been "No" for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something."
"Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary."
I didn't know that all those words are on his famous speech in Stanford University. He died, but every time I think of my iPod I can feel his philosophy. Maybe it's a commonplace remark, he lives in our heart.
