英PROG誌がProgressive Music Awards 2016を発表(^^;;

プログレねたです(^^;;

英国のプログレ誌Prog Magazineが主宰するアワード＜Progressive Music Awards 2016＞が現地時間9月2日にロンドンで開催され、各受賞作品／アーティストが発表されました。

各賞6月15日にノミネートが発表され、Netによるファン投票が実施されその結果をもとに各賞が決定されています。

King Crimson、RUSH、David Gilmour、Steven Wilson、Dream Theater等もノミネートされていましたが、若い人のNet投票が多いのか、大御所は受賞を逃しています。

賞の名前が変わっていて、今一つ各賞の意味がピンとこないものが多いのですが、一通り受賞者を載せておきます。

Anthem - Riverside: Towards the Blue Horizon　作品賞でしょうか？
ポーランドのProgre Hard Bandです。


Live Event - Big Big Train　1990年結成のNEOプログレ Bandです。


Vanguard - The Mute Gods　先駆者？
プログレ界の凄腕助っ人のNick Beggs（Bass、Guitar、Vocal）、Roger King（Keyboard）、Marco Minnemann（Drums）が結成したBand


Storm Thorgerson Grand Design Award - Anthony Phillips Esoteric Reissue Series　優れた再発盤に対する賞のようです


Album of the Year - iamthemorning: Lighthouse　英国のLabelから発売されていますが、RussiaのBandでバロック系です


Band of the Year - Big Big Train　Live Eventと同時受賞


The Outer Limits - The Buggles　プログレ境界線？


Chris Squire Virtuoso - Jakko Jakszyk (King Crimson)　名人、技巧派？
King Crimson本体は受賞を逃しましたが、Jakkoが受賞。
Gavin Harrisonも駆け付けていました。


Guiding Light - Andy Summers　道先案内人？　元PoliceのGuitarist


Visionary - Jon Hiseman (Colosseum)　幻影？


Lifetime Achievement - Van der Graaf Generator　特別功労賞？


Prog God - Jon Anderson　プログレ神？　まあ納得ではありますが。


【Jon Anderson Trevor Rabin & Rick Wakeman】
Jon Andersonの受賞に一緒に元祖YESのARWとしてリハーサルを行っているTrevor RabinとRick Wakemanも駆け付けたようです。

来春来日の方向で交渉が行われているようです。11月来日の本家YESよりも期待が高まっています。
