相も変わらぬ音楽ネタです。

先日Spandau Balletを話題にした際に触れましたが、David Bowieの新曲2曲を含むデビュー50周年記念Best盤「NOTHING HAS CHANGED」が英国で11月17日、米国で18日に発売され、国内盤は19日に発売となります(^_^)。

1964年から2014年までボウイの全キャリアを網羅したもので、3CD Deluxe Editionと2CD Edition、2LP Editionがあり、それぞれJacket写真が異なり、国内盤は1CD Editionも発売となります。

新曲は「Sue (Or In A Season Of Crime)」と「'Tis A Pity She Was A Whore」の2曲でPVが公開されています。

「Sue」の方はBrass Rockのなかなか渋い曲です。


「'Tis A Pity She Was A Whore」は激しい曲調で対テロ攻撃の様なピンポイント爆撃の映像で、戦争がTV Game化していると批判されていますが結構衝撃的です。


どちらの曲も結構出来の良い曲だと思います。
なお、Best盤発売と同時に新曲2曲とSueのRadio Editの3曲入りのSingleがDownload販売されるそうです。

David Bowieは2004年にConcert Tour中に心臓発作で倒れ、その後一切音沙汰が無くなっていたため引退したものと見られていました。
しかし、2013年の１月8日の66歳の誕生日に突然新曲「Where Are We Now? 」を発表しiTunes Storeで配信を開始。
そして2013年3月に10年ぶりのNew Album「The Next Day」を発売すると発表し世界を驚かせました。


「Where Are We Now? 」は全世界119カ国のiTunes Storeにて一斉配信開始され、リリースから24時間で27カ国のiTunesチャート1位になったと言われています。
2013年1月末に小林克也の「ベストヒットUSA」でも放送され、哀愁に満ちたバラードで結構感動的な曲でした。


合わせてBBCのサイトで音声のみですが、12月上旬までの期間限定で2000年に行われたGlastonbury FestivalでのLive Performanceが配信されています。
