Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia officially launched the new Mitsubishi Lancer EX today - a sophisticated addition which blends performance and elegance with a multitude of advanced convenience features.
Built on over three decades of motor sports heritage, the new Lancer EX redefines sportiness with an elegant makeover. While still carrying the signature looks of its predecessor, the new Lancer EX is further enhanced with a new value of sophistication, offering a number of luxurious touches such as Keyless Operation System, elegant cockpit with wood-print accent, leather seats, Cruise Control and 2 DIN Touch Screen LCD Audio Systems with GPS.
Priced at RM117, 676.10 (on-the-road without insurance) for Peninsular Malaysia, it is available in White Solid and Black Mica.
Speaking to the media during the official launch ceremony, Chief Executive Officer of Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia, Mr. Keizo Ono said, “The Lancer EX is a stylish blend of elegance and luxurious comfort. We believe it will appeal to an even broader market in the midsize family sedan segment and firmly establish itself as a strong contender in this segment.”
Sporting stylish and elegant design cues, the new Lancer EX comes with refined chrome accentuated front and door handles, new side protector mouldings and rear lip spoiler with trunk lid moulding. Its elegant profile is further enhanced with 16-inch alloy wheels.
The new Lancer EX boasts a 2.0-liter Double Overhead Camshaft (DOHC) and MIVEC (Mitsubishi Innovative Valve-timing and lift Electronic Control) lightweight aluminum engine block which churns out 155PS at 6,000rpm and 199Nm at 4,250rpm.
Equipped with CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), the new Lancer EX offers drivers a new height of driving enjoyment; an automatic transmission that is quiet and efficient. It eliminates the harshness and power lag of traditional gear changes.
INVECS-III (Intelligent and Innovative Vehicle Electronic Control System) allows personalized driving conditions for every driver. Through careful mapping of each driver’s on-the-road habit, the system clearly creates an optimized shift profile that anticipates driver’s actions.
